Default President Trump dumps his Android probably for a modified iPhone

    Android's continual issues with security

Quote While it is possible to lock down an Android phone —by enabling full-disk encryption, using secure services, disabling riskier features, or even writing a customized version of Android —an iPhone is often a simpler option. Full-disk encryption is on by default in iOS 8 and later, and any device with a Touch ID sensor also has a Secure Enclave, making even physical hacking difficult without a warrant.

iOS also doesn't allow native filesystem access, restricting what the software is capable of, but also safely sandboxing apps.

Quote [..] as Trump prepares to take the oath of office Friday, the future of his ever-present Android smartphone is now a matter of national security. On Thursday, he told a friend that he had given up his phone, as security agencies had urged him to do.
What a "modified device" is is yet to be revealed.. Some have suggested a device similar to former President Obama's blackberry is what he will be given..

Interesting information about the phone choice for President.
I'm surprised, with all the uber-tech of the dark Pentagon/NSA/NRO etc. there isn't something a little more souped-up than an off-the-shelf iPhone.
Take, for instance, the NSA's recommendation for Secretary of State Clinton ---

But even that suggestion is old news since the DoD's development of DMCC-S ---

The specs on the DMCC device include:
    DISA-provided device:
    Release 2.0 - Samsung Galaxy
    Domestic and international service.
Secure Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
    Secure Outlook Web Access (OWA).

With so much defense development in this area, I can't help but wonder if the President's iPhone will hardly be the same model or have the same circuitry as the device you or I could pick up at the Apple Store.
