Wow, seems they are not the topdogs after all. Im pretty certain the young animal was very badly hurt but just goes to show, as a group things can be overcome.

    Fantastic find Hurritt

You are most welcome, Thanks for the comments. I know its nature but it always saddens me when i see an animal taken down by a predator and always wonder why no one helps it, so i found this video refreshingly brilliant (and i bet it was the father Buffalo that led the charge) i say father not mother because it appears larger *bullet dodged* lol

Exactly Celine, How anybody can believe these animals are unintelligent and only posses base survival and reproduction instincts is beyond me. They have intricate social structures and relationships family bonds etc. Any body who looks at say Elephants surely must know that they have a soul just like us (if not more so)

Or have been in real old forest. Or gazed al lake at the sunset.

Finding somewhere that is without soul is what used to be hard.

But now, you just wander into man-made realms for that kind of experience .. and yet, even there you can find unexpected glimpse of life force.

It is after all, up to us

How much stronger they're to surive and beat the surrounding nature , such an unbelievable drama .

The lions were either too young or starved, otherwise they would not hunt in group , felines are usually lonely hunters, it surprised me.

What comes to my mind is..how most animals in civlised areas we tamed and kept as pets , closed somewhere, in cages, at homes, behave differently ,
lost many natural instincts , at least they seem they did.
Most of them were used to live in groups among their own kind and face to face with nature.

Many pets kept at home feel sad and alone, in my opinion but their owner think they're doing the best for them , they have to be asked to eat so they kindly eat their pedigree special food and taught to 'behave' .

    Lightbulb Re: Amazing wildlife clip

Thanks, this is a very powerful vid with a important message, particularly for us here at Avalon.

The individual by themselves can fight back against the pack of predators and sometimes survive.
More often than not the individual does not.
In the case above the predators fought each other for the individual prize (Crock and Lions)
Once the weaker (prey) individuals gathered with a common purpose to save one of their own, the predators had no chance.
Strength in numbers plus unity of purpose and mind easily sends the predators packing.

Excellent post, thank you very much. I was thinking a lion would be chased into the water and a croc would get it instead.
Am i right in saying that the reason the baby buffalo survived is because big cats kill by suffocating their victims? They place their fangs around the throat and crush the windpipe i think. Probably got a few lacerations from the fight but no more than that as not enough time had elapsed. Besides, the croc attack gave it a chance to breathe again.
It really made my heart lift when i saw the buffalo come back in greater numbers.

    hi there,

i found it difficult to watch.this is 'nature',right? but it might be the nature of 3D planets,i heard something else about animals from above dimensions behaving differently..
i love the allegory, though this finalle is similiar to what appears at the end of the best begginers (to what's going on in the world) movie that i found to this day:'Wake up call' here is this part at the end (i am sure many are missing it) at 00:34 second:
    https://youtube.com/watch?v=jTDNi..._order&list=UL

    so thanks hurrit :0)

in continuation to this allegory,i would like to share another one:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=1WwacQQChaE

and another one, that is far more symbolic:human and reptile friendship

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=IbjO4g4CctE
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...on-cuddle.html

all these stories touch our hearts and shows us something- that we are all one.

Indeed. I wonder if many Avalonians noticed ... but when the last frightened lion disappeared behind the knoll, a water buffalo (the bull??) went down after it. But here's the crowning beauty of the entire episode, at least, IMO: a second water buffalo went along immediately afterwards, e.g. to make sure the first one was not alone! Pure tears of joy!

ps: This being the second day of Christmas, I'm giving y'all not one, but two turtle doves!
