Default February 2017 Natural Event Predictions

    What's up folks!

February 2017 is dawning, and some natural changes are still slowly taking hold of the world. In my prior post it was mentioned that 2017 in Numerology is the number '1', which starts a new 9-year cycle, meaning changes around the world, including the Earth Changes too. Also, now that February begins, so has a new Chinese Zodiac sign for the year: The Year of the Fire Rooster officially began on January 28, and this also implies different happenings could be in store across the world. Fire Rooster years can be very active ones, especially for weather events like tornadoes and hurricanes. The last rooster year was 2005, and that was a very mean natural disaster year. 2008, another huge disaster year, was a Numerology 1 year...so it may be that 2017 will behave somewhat like a mix of 2005 and 2008; implying that weather disasters should be big in the coming months, and these kinds of prediction scenarios should be taken with extra caution. Earthquakes could be as big an issue as the worst weather events, considering 2005 and 2008 were big quake years as well. So how about Feb? Well the month should start a bit on the quiet side hopefully. However, as we head later into February we'll need to be on watch for a possible Major Earthquake or some severe weather/ winter weather event around the globe. OK my friends, here goes the February 2017 forecast:

    February 5

Most Likely Scenario: A Strong Earthquake could occur during this lone risk date, possibly attaining Magnitude 6.5 - 7.0 and causing moderate impacts. Watch the world's major earthquake zones and areas recently seeing earthquake activity closely, just in case.

2nd Possible Scenario: A Tornado Event could occur on this day, possibly triggered by a strong cold front in the Southern US or in Southern Europe. Severe weather could accompany a strong winter storm to the south.

3rd Possible Scenario: A Flash Flooding Event or Landslide could happen during this time frame as well, most likely caused in tandem by the severe weather event in Scenario 2. This date by itself is fair game for a sudden event, and landslides/mudslides could be an issue on this date. Fortunately the risk level for February 5th is fairly low, so we may pass this day quietly.

Moderate Risk: The chance for any of these natural disaster scenarios to strike during this date is 15 percent.

    February 7-9

Most Likely Scenario: A Winter Storm/ Severe Weather Event is a notable probability for this period. Most likely to occur in the US or Europe, this Severe weather event could happen along with a winter weather event, likely caused by the same storm system. There is some potential for this scenario to be a major event, so the weather news may be a good thing to watch as we near these dates just in case severe weather becomes forecast.

2nd Likely Scenario: A Strong Earthquake could occur during this time, especially on February 8, possibly reaching Magnitude 6.5 - 7.5 and causing moderate to significant impacts. December and January's high earthquake activity could have caused February to be prone to major earthquakes, and this would be one of the main dates to watch. Watch the world's major earthquake zones and areas recently seeing earthquake activity closely, just in case.

3rd Possible Scenario: A South Pacific Cyclone could brew by these dates and cause trouble in the South Pacific, mainly the waters around northern Australia and the islands to the east. The weak La Nina global weather pattern we are currently in could lead to more tropical cyclone activity than usual near Australia, as their storm season begins peaking this month into next. This scenario will be an ever-present possibility throughout the risk periods of February as well as March 2017.

4th Possible Scenario: A Flash Flooding Event or Landslide could happen during this time frame as well, most likely caused by the severe weather event in Scenario 1. Floods could also be due to Scenario 4's tropical cyclone, or even tropical rainstorms in parts of the Indo-Pacific.

Significant Risk: The chance for any of these natural disaster scenarios to strike during this 3-day period is 20 percent, with a 10 percent risk for the event to be severe.

    February 14-15

Most Likely Scenario: A Winter Storm/ Severe Weather Event is a strong probability for this period. Similar to the prior risk time frame, this scenario is most likely to occur in the US or Europe, and the Severe weather + winter weather event could be caused by the same storm system. There is also some potential for this scenario to be a major event during this time, so all eyes will need to be on local weather news if you are in the US or western Europe.

2nd Likely Scenario: A Strong Earthquake could occur during this time, on either date, possibly being between Magnitude 6.5 - 7.5 and causing moderate to significant impacts. The world's recent high earthquake activity points to the fact that February could be predisposed to have strong quakes again, and this would be one of the main periods to watch. Watch the world's major earthquake zones and areas recently seeing earthquake activity closely.

3rd Possible Scenario: A South Pacific Cyclone could form during or prior to these dates and strike land during this time in the South Pacific, mainly northern Australia or the islands to the east, including Vanuatu and Fiji. The weak La Nina global weather pattern we are currently in could lead to more tropical cyclone activity than usual near Australia, as their storm season begins peaking this month into next. This scenario will be an ever-present possibility throughout the risk periods of February as well as March 2017.

Significant Risk: The chance for any of these natural disaster scenarios to strike during this duo of risk dates is 20 percent, with a 10 percent risk for the disaster to be severe.

    February 18-19

Most Likely Scenario: A Winter Storm/ Severe Weather Event is the main probability for this period. Similar to the prior risk time frame, this scenario is most likely to occur in the US or Europe, and the Severe weather + winter weather event could be caused by the same storm system. Watch the weather folks, it could begin ramping up by mid February as the main stage for severe weather is set in Late February.

2nd Possible Scenario: A Strong Earthquake could occur during this time, on either date, possibly being between Magnitude 6.5 - 7.0 and may cause moderate impacts. This event could be an aftershock of an earlier quake from February or of the quakes we saw around the globe in January and December. Watch the world's major earthquake zones and areas recently seeing earthquake activity.

3rd Possible Scenario: A South Pacific Cyclone could form during or prior to these dates and strike land during this time, and cause trouble in the South Pacific, mainly northern Australia or the islands to the east, including Vanuatu and Fiji. This scenario is an ever-present possibility throughout the risk periods of February as well as March 2017.

Moderate Risk: The chance for any of these natural disaster scenarios to strike during these two risk dates is 15 percent.

    February 21-27

Most Likely Scenario: One or Two Major Winter Storms, with Likely Severe Weather/ Tornado Outbreaks could strike during this powerful time, the strongest risk period of all Feb 2017. This event, or events, could be a result of 1 or 2 very powerful winter-type storm systems, which can spark strong thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind, floods, hail and even tornadoes in warmer parts of middle-latitude areas of the northern hemisphere, like the South-central U.S., Southern Europe, South-Central Asia. This time frame is primed for wild, severe weather that could make the news during what may be a busy 2nd half of February. The main weather concerns to watch out for during this potential Severe Weather scenario will be powerful tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, ice, heavy snow and blizzard conditions, high winds, and flash flooding. Due to this risk period's length and high intensity, as well as its position on the calendar at the end of February, in a La Nina year, coupled with astrology and numerology aspects of Feb 2017, I believe the stage is set, perfectly for a major severe weather outbreak and/or winter storm to round out the month. If we were to see two events, one would most likely be for February 21-24, and the second for February 25-27. The 2nd one could be the worst. This scenario could be very dangerous folks, I would advise to keep close watch on weather news as we near this week-long risk period, in case this becomes a reality and warnings become issued!

2nd Likely Scenario: A Major South Pacific Cyclone could form during or prior to these dates and strike land during this major risk time, causing disaster in the South Pacific. The areas most at risk would be northern Australia and the islands to the east, including Vanuatu and Fiji. This scenario is an ever-present possibility throughout the risk periods of February as well as March 2017, and is a true threat during a risk period like this. The potential is there for any cyclone that exists in the South Pacific during this time to explode in intensity and strike land with severe consequence. A Category 5 cyclone is possible.

3rd Likely Scenario: A Major Earthquake could occur during this period as well, particularly on February 21 and especially February 25 - 27...possibly attaining Magnitude 7.5 - 8.5 and causing severe impacts. Watch for a possible medium to large sized Tsunami if the epicenter is at sea or near the coast. We'll all need to keep close watch on the world's major earthquake zones, and also areas recently seeing earthquake activity such as Papua New Guinea, South Pacific Islands, and South America! The world's heightened earthquake activity of the past 3 months may be continued this February toward month's end.

4th Possible Scenario: A Major Flooding Event or Disaster could happen during this time frame as well, most likely caused by the severe weather predicted in Scenario 1, or caused by possible tropical cyclone activity (scenario 2). This long period is set up well for a potential river flood or other long-lasting flooding event. Flash floods and killer mudslides will be a big threat if heavy rains affect hilly or mountainous regions during the February 21-27 period. Ice Jams may also be a cause of this potential flood event, if the weather warms rapidly following a major winter storm.

High Risk: The chance for any of these natural disaster scenarios to strike during this strong risk period is 35 percent, with a 25 percent risk that the disaster will have severe impacts.

The Breakdown: Here follows a simple listing, highlighting exactly when we could see certain events during certain dates, along with a list of the main areas to watch for each of the possible events! The dates that appear in bold are the riskier dates for the events listed.

    The Month in a Nutshell:

February 2017 is set to become progressively more active for natural disasters as the month advances, likely starting out as a calm and placid nature month until about the midpoint, when the next wave of natural disasters may come around in parts of the world. From mid February into Late February, we will likely see a marked increase in weather disasters and earthquakes, and things could reach climax during February 21-27. Taking into account that the month could start calm and end active, the overall number of events could end up being closer to average, so that could imply some good news hopefully. Overall, Expect an average month for natural disasters in terms of the expected amount of events, with 1 to 3 notable natural disasters possible this month. 2 events may be weather related and the other event could be Earthquake-related or similar land-based events such as landslides or mudslides. Volcanic eruptions are a smaller threat. Despite seeming about average, February 2017 has strong severe weather & cyclone potential, and we should also err on the side of caution regarding earthquakes, considering we just passed a very active trio of quake months which could mean more are still to come.

Well folks, that's how the new month is looking, please stay tuned to your local news if future nasty weather or other events come your way.
