    Dave Hodges posted this article about Google's blacklisting of Naturalnews.com from their search results. It has more detail and background. Breaking: Adams & Jones Taken Down by Google/CIA Prior to Big Event- Trump Needs to Beware.
    Dave Hodges interviewed Mike Adams about the whole thing yesterday.

    Important stuff: succinct, articulate and focused. Hodges and Adams agree that these serious, heavy-duty attacks on Infowars and Natural News are precursors for
    • More alternative media information portals to be taken down or made impotent — and they may now start to pick off their targets, working down a long list;
    • A major 9/11 style event that would require the alternative media to be silenced first.

    Good video. David Hodges passed along an alternative search site, GoodGopher.com, which lists some sites on the main page.

    I keep a list of alternative seach engines, because sometimes they can provide different results, support different search options, or provided improved privacy.

    Just now, I did a quick search on the several search engines in my list for "site:naturalnews.com vaccines", to see which ones could still return useful results.

    ===

    These sites did not return any results, due apparently to google's delisting of naturalnews.com:===

    These sites did not return useful results, for various technical reasons I didn't examine further:===

    These sites did return useful results:===

    The above search engine that I most often use as a Google alternative is http://duckduckgo.com . Good site.

    good idea. natural news is one of my favorite sites. anyone has a suggestion for a replacement search engine.
    Bing still looks okay.

    It looks practically identical to Google to me.... except when I search for natural news (eyeroll)

    WHO was Mike Adams threatened by??? (The Alex Jones bit) Did this person identify himself and/or the entity he's representing? Does Mike mention this anywhere?

    I know "they" are not gonna call and say "hi mike, this is John Anderson and i'm calling on behalf of.....". And I know we all have some vague notion of who "they" are. But still, i'd like to know *exactly* what was said. on some level I regret being a little cynical, but ive heard too many sensational claims and seen too many sensational headlines to just readily accept stories like these

    I dunno, maybe it's my imagination...but when I hear things in the interview like "radical left" and notions of Trump as folk hero, alarms start going off in the base of my skull. Obviously this type of censorship (of Mike and alex) goes way beyond left/right politics.

    I signed it ... but the libertarian in me is unsettled .

    The government shouldn't be deciding what websites can post, or not post. Would Bill Ryan want the US government telling him he can't have Avalon have less tolerance for flat earthers? Would we want the government making it illegal to research alternative histories of the Holocaust (as Germany does)?

    Rather, they should not be empowering one particular site to become so dominant, by covertly supporting it so as to enable the government itself to gain so much surveillance, and eventually control, power.

    The solution is not for us people to give over such powers to the government, supposedly to correct a particular abuse, but for the people to remove the power from the government that (via the CIA's covert support of Google, in this case) enabled such abuses, the few seen, and the many unseen, to occur in the first place.

    YES, yes yes. why would we make a petition to the entity thats doing the abusing to us in the first place. "blacklist google" is the best thing to do its in our power we dont have to wait for the abusers to do something for us. they wont. so.... we have to do it ourselves.

    Paul and Bubu:

    I understand your reservations or uneasiness and I don't know whether a petition will do anything at all but for me it's about doing something in defense of free speech and in defense of Adams who requested from anyone who believes in his work that the petition be signed. I believe in what he does and this is my support to him.

    Strangely, google search was not available for a brief while this evening. Eventually it came back up. I've never experienced google being down before, so something must have happened.

    If you want to blacklist google and know how to go about it, then all the power to you.

    Cheers!

    No, Google Didn't Remove NaturalNews.com Because Of Fake News

    People asking me on Twitter about why NaturalNews.com was deindexed by Google. People are saying it was because of "fake news" but that is not the case.

    I wasn't planning on covering this story over here, but I keep getting people asking me on Twitter about why NaturalNews.com was deindexed by Google. People are saying it was because of "fake news" but that is not the case.

    I covered the story yesterday afternoon at Search Engine Land where Google told us they are violating Google's webmaster guidelines. Fake news is NOT a violation of Google's guidelines. Yes, Google may drop AdSense publishers from making money with fake news or they may have tweaked their news algorithms but they would not delist a site for fake news.

    Why not delist a site for fake news? Well, some people like these sites and they want to read and be part of a community around this stuff. It might be known as alternative facts or whatever. I don't judge or care what people read and Google wants you to find content on these sites when you search for those topics. But it doesn't deindex, at least today, sites for fake news or sites for being pro-Trump as the site said after it was deindexed.

    Google's statement to us read:
    We don’t comment on individual sites, but if we find that a site violates one or more of our Webmaster Guidelines we may take manual action against it. For webmasters who have questions about their own sites, our Webmaster team provides support through platforms such as the Webmaster Forums. Once a site has remedied the problem, the webmaster can submit the site for reconsideration.
    So what was the issue if not fake news? Who knows, it could be tons of things. The site claimed they did not get a notification in the Google Search Console. I am not sure I believe that but it doesn't matter - Google does penalize sites without notifying them of the penalty in Google Search Console often enough.

    The one thing that was weird to me that during all this talk about this site being delisted, Google's John Mueller tweeted about an old penalty from 2015:

    That's rather like how I use Wikipedia. If I want to remember what the Pythagorean Theorem is (a2 + b2 = c2 , for the sides a, b, and c of a right angle triangle, from memory), I find Wikipedia quite useful.

    If I want to examine controversial issues, I find Wikipedia worse than nothing.

    Similarly, for most non-controversial issues and purposes, Google works fine, and often better than the alternatives. But if I want to research a controversial issue, I do better searching ProjectAvalon.net, or using DuckDuckGo.com.

    Something as centrally vital as a search engine should be in the same category as sewerage and water supplies.

    I understand the American preference for it to be in 'private' control, but, I think there should be an established standard of service enforced or else take it out of private hands and build a national search engine service just as good.

    Google shouldn't be able to screw around with tailoring the service at their own fancy and still have an unchallenged monopoly. That's culturally insane.

    edit:

    Here's a quick review of a book called:

    The Big Disconnect: Why the Internet Hasn't Transformed Politics (Yet)

    Quote Now that communication can be as quick as thought, why hasn't our ability to organize politically to establish gains and beyond that, to maintain them kept pace? The web has given us both capacity and speed: but progressive change seems to be something perpetually in the air, rarely manifesting, even more rarely staying with us.Micah L. Sifry, a longtime analyst of democracy and its role on the net, examines what he calls "The Big Disconnect." In his usual pithy, to-the-point style, he explores why data-driven politics and our digital overlords have failed or misled us, and how they can be made to serve us instead, in a real balance between citizens and state, independent of corporations. The web and social media have enabled an explosive increase in participation in the public arena but not much else has changed. For the next step beyond connectivity, writes Sifry, we need a real digital public square, not one hosted by Facebook, shaped by Google, and snooped on by the National Security Agency. If we don't build one, then any notion of democracy as rule by the people' will no longer be meaningful. We will be a nation of Big Data, by Big Email, for the powers that be.""

Hodges and Adams agree that these serious, heavy-duty attacks on Infowars and Natural News are precursors for
    • More alternative media information portals to be taken down or made impotent — and they may now start to pick off their targets, working down a long list;
    • A major 9/11 style event that would require the alternative media to be silenced first.

    Good video. David Hodges passed along an alternative search site, GoodGopher.com, which lists some sites on the main page.

    The world's first privacy-protecting search engine that filters out corporate propaganda and government disinformation. http://www.goodgopher.com
    Unfortunately, GoodGopher.com is not a workable search engine. It appears that one must submit their website for approval, but if it is never submitted, there will be no results for legitimate independent informational websites. Therefore, it's results are very, very limited and therefore pretty much a waste of time trying to find something. Some really good alternative websites that use documented evidence, etc, do not even show up on GoodGopher.com. Ironically, some of these alternative sites show up on the first page of Google yet you cannot find them on GoodGopher.

    As far as Google is concerned, I am wondering if what we are seeing right now with Natural News and Infowars is just a test. I think if they did this broadly all hell would break loose with the people of Earth rising up against Google. So perhaps they are just seeing how far they can get away with censorship.

    Hey Folks,
    I have been using Epic Privacy Browser for over a year now and love it. https://www.epicbrowser.com/
    It is based in India and stops all tracking and advertising of any kind. Some publications notice and ask me to turn off the ad-blocking, but I don't care about most of them. I just used its search engine to see if it showed Mike Adams and Naturalnews.com and it does. When I actually want to purchase something online through a popular shopping site like Amazon, I usually switch to Firefox browser, so the shopping site will show me all my options. That's it folks.
