    Default Flashing light and consciousness

Driving on a clear day, with the sun low in the sky, roadside trees can create the effect of a very powerful strobe light. The frequency of flashing light is a function of car speed and tree spacing.

My experience can be uncomfortable as if the effect of the strobe light were disorienting. The thought that pops into my head is that consciousness is being effected strongly in some way by the flashing light.

Does anyone else have a similar experience?

This post may be related to the Vielight thread.

I have actually had the same sensations. It can become even more intense if I am the passenger and have my eyes closed. The lights are beautiful but they do have an intense effect on my brain.

As a teen and well into my 30's, I used to sit under the trees in a park by a river, reading a book or merely reflecting on life.
I would choose a spot where the sunlight was flickering through the leaves and, when I closed my eyes, onto my eyelids, as the wind blew the leaves to and fro.
More often than not, I would leave feeling refreshed with heightened senses, similar to "hitting on all 8 cylinders", or "being in the zone", so to speak.

I get the same effect when I use the "glasses" I've had for some 25+ years, with the programmable (alpha to delta) frequencies and intensities (dim to very bright) to illuminate the LEDS in each opaque "lens" of the glasses and shine into the pupils.
It seems that light has different effects on different people.
As an aside, I carefully "sungaze" at dawn and within seconds feel somewhat recharged and "in the zone"...

For me, not while driving, but then I don't drive much because I work at home. If I look up into the blue sky, without even the sun in my view, I see flashes and spark-like lights. It's difficult, due to a glare, to stare at them for long.

Strobing causes sensory overload. My brain has enough trouble processing "normal" amounts of information.

An article related to epileptic episodes due to flashing lights.

I see that people with brain injury can experience sensory overload because their filters don't work properly.

I don't notice the strobing of sunlight through the trees while driving as anything more than a distraction. But the flickering of a fluorescent ceiling light kinda/sorta really bothers me. Makes my eyes hurt (or tires them?) and my head ache.

as you know, strobes and flashing lights can induce a seizure or feelings that a seizure is imminent.
I can vouch for that from personal on-hand 'induced seizure' experiences.

I will be getting the 655 prime vielight...have had similar experiences. as shared on Bill's thread. of awakening the pineal in the past(2007 on) from my experiences heightened by sungazing and nature meditations.

I am anxious to hear some testimonials of Avalonians using the vielight, especially the 655 prime. About all I could afford!

    Yes.

Just to clarify, though: the Vielight 655 is a pulsed laser, and none of the Vielight devices have anything at ALL to do with 'flashing light'.

Whaaat? No flashing light? Probably not going round and round either. What kind of party is this?

Don Juan Matos of Carlos Castenada fame said something about capturing the sun with the eyes. Perhaps related?

I probably should work on some detox before I tried something like this if I ever do. Additional testimonials would help. Not meaning to diminish yours in any way, Bill.
