This would make a great capture except for the world of cgi, what say the sleuths? USOs are few and far between as related to video evidence so this would be rare footage if it was real...

If you look carefully, you can see the object brushing/touching the surface of the water a couple of times, where it leaves a momentary small disturbance. If it's CGI, that's very cleverly done. And the soundtrack of the person doing the recording doesn't sound like an actor... especially when the thing disappears.

First .. despite the final vid being 1080p, the resolution is extremely low - rendering any detail void. Also I can't quite gauge the size of the object - at first I thought like an inflatable dinghy size.

After really watching this over and over, I am confident I see flippers propelling the object especially just before and as it dives. I think we should consider this might be a giant leatherback or loggerhead sea turtle. Sea turtles can grow up to almost 2000lbs, be over 8 feet long and have 8 foot front flippers. Look closely for flipper action just before the object dives. I am not saying it is for 100% certain, but it is looking like it to me. I would want to try to rule this out before moving on to exotic considerations. For now, my best guess is giant sea turtle - perhaps just coming off the beach from laying her eggs?

EDIT: I did a quick check on sea turtle habitat - that might be a tad too north for a Leatherback (but animals have been known to wander), but is definately in the common range for both Loggerhead and Green sea turtles - both very large (up to 1000lbs or more). EDIT2: yup the more I watch the more I see a turtle - with a weird lighter colored ring around its shell -- barnacles perhaps?

If it was a turtle, and a turtle as large as it seems it would have to be, wouldn't there be some surface disturbance of the water?

Also, it is very round. If it was a turtle, would it not appear more elliptical? It seems to maintain a very circular image. I understand that water refraction would also come into play if it was near the surface, but the object seems to maintain a fairly consistent circumference.

My main consideration is what I saw as flippers propelling the object. Quite faint but if you put the video full res/screen and slow to 0.5 speed you can see what really looks to be flippers propelling the object. To me, the "apparent" shape is a bit less of a concern, although it still looks somewhat not quite round to me anyway.

Here's drone footage of a sea turtle -- in much higher detail / resolution ... but one might be able to just observe motion mechanics ... pretty similar to me.

Not sure about that time but somewhere I recall seeing a shark finned shape object ... not sure if shark or not ...

EDIT: about: 0:50 -- I think it may have been something on the beach.

Very interesting. Looks legit to me, as in no fakery. Whatever it is is anyone's guess.
