Psyops : What does PSYOPS stand for in 2017?

The word "psyops" has taken on a different meaning among internet conspiracy theorists though. The internet meme version of "psyops" seems to be subversive mind control used against the population for nefarious reasons.

History :

As the father of modern public relations industry, Edward Bernays, wrote in his seminal book "Propaganda," "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country ... It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world."

The Creel Commission is also the progenitor to the modern use of psyops tactics on a mass scale, both at home and abroad.

Writing on the Creel Commission in his book "Science of Coercion: Communication Research and Psychological Warfare 1945-1960," historian Christopher Simpson, explained, "Psychological warfare is not new, of course ... But it was not until World War I that the US government institutionalized and employed psychological warfare in the modern sense ... Persuasive communication ... became central to Lippman's strategy for domestic government and international relations. He saw mass communication ... as a necessary instrument for any managing elite."

Disturbingly, the term "psychological warfare" was first utilized by the Nazis during World War II, wrote Simpson in "Science of Coercion." "The phrase 'psychological warfare' is reported to have first entered English in 1941 as a translated mutation of the Nazi term Weltanschauungskrieg, (literally, worldview warfare), meaning the purportedly scientific application of propaganda, terror and state pressure as a means of securing an ideological victory over one's enemies ... Use of the term quickly became widespread throughout the US intelligence community."

PSYOPS influence the behavior of governements, groups, organizations and individuals; and can be used during conflict or peacetime. With the world's geopolitics on edge, we thought now would be an appropriate time to look at just what PSYOPS are?

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Psychological warfare (PSYWAR) is, "The planned use of propaganda and other psychological actions having the primary purpose of influencing the opinions, emotions, attitudes, and behavior of hostile foreign groups in such a way as to support the achievement of national objectives.

At the beginning of February 2017, important demonstrations rocked Romania. Yet, as the international media announced the imminent fall of Sorin Grindeanu's government, nothing happened. For Valentin Vasilescu, who is both a military expert and an opposition activist, these events were organized by the PsyOps of the Romanian Army and the Pentagon to test the penetration of their Russian counterparts in the country. This case highlights the development of the Russian PsyOps, now able to compete with NATO on this plane too...

The dominant American media are obsessed with Russian "propaganda" and yet the US government created thirty years ago a "psyops" bureaucracy to flood the world with dubious information.

If you look at the evening news of national TV stations waiting for you to hear the truth about the big events, you will unfortunately be disappointed and will waste your time. All you are going to learn are big lies, falsified stories, distorted truths and propaganda from governement and large multinationals.

As an increasing number of Internet users who read the Alternative Media sites realize, the mass media are controlled by the CIA.

''There will be a lot of dramas playing out as these new waves of energy push everything to the surface. Some will heal internally, some will need external lessons.
