Default Help for Urgent Kitty Operation

Our cat Mufasa is in need of an urgent operation on his urinary tract and we currently do not have the funds to cover the operation. The operation will cost around R4000 and the vet needs the funds upfront before he can start.

Please help in any way if possible.

    Thank you!

Does he have crystals or a UTI? I have 12 cats, about 1/3 of them males. When they have blockages -- and they have had them -- I give them raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar mixed with some water. When their condition is bad, I syringe or dropper feed about 1/2 teaspoon of the solution every 30 mins. If it's not severe, you can add several drops of ACV solution to his wet food or canned salmon. You can also try cranberry extract. If he has an infection, you can give him a little of lysine crushed in his food or put some raw, unrefined coconut oil on his paws (lysine boosts immune system, and coconut oil has antibiotic properties). You can also purchase feline lysine at some pet stores or online in gel or powder form. If you have questions, feel free to PM me.

    Thanks for that!
We also have quite a few cats and have lost a cat to crystals before. He had crystals, but they managed to unblock him.
He has been having mucus blockages now and he keeps blocking up no matter what we try. (I also have done the apple cider vinegar!)
The vet has recommended that we operate because his kidneys are starting to fail.
Will update as soon as we have more news!

    Thanks to all once again!

    Hi all.
    Just an update quick.
Mufasa was in a pretty bad state and the vet agreed to do the op so long.
We just went to see him now and so far he is doing alright.
    Thanks again for the support!

Wow, two+ weeks is a long time for Mufasa to be away from his family. Glad to hear things will be back to normal. Please pass along a squishy hug for me.
