Delightful high school science experiment showing dangers of Wi-Fi

Erin Elizabeth, of HealthNutNews.com has just posted this article about a delightful high school science experiment that demonstrated the dangers of Wi-Fi: High School science experiment leads to scary but important discovery.

The students geminated two batches of cress seeds, one next to a Wi-Fi router, and one a room away. Conditions were otherwise the same.

Here's what the two batches looked like, after 12 days:

Guess which one was next to the Wi-Fi ... yup ... you guessed it!

Not bad for a few ninth-graders.

If I hadn't already been turning off my wi-fi except when I need it, and already removed high frequency electronics (wi-fi, cell phone, ...) from my bed room, I would be doing that now.

For our house we bought a simple plug in timer that turns the wifi router on and off on our schedule (so that its off when we're away at work or sleeping). 😁

My daughter did this without a timer. I think she simply program the router. well she is a programmer by profession. I should ask her to up the off time.

Very interesting, BUT we need tests in a much more controlled environment before we can draw any conclusions.

For instance the amount of light and heat on each specimen is quite critical.

Still worthy of serious study though.

I have my Wi-Fi turned off.
Everything still works fine.

We have wifi permanently turned off, and I still unplug the router at night.
Interestingly, received a brand new laptop not long ago, and massive problems with turning off wifi and bluetooth in windows 10. I kept disabling, deinstalling, nothing worked. Finally found the settings in BIOS to turn off permanently.
Just something to be aware of with new operating systems.
