Default Best methods for content creators

Avalon has a great resource of experiences that members have collected that can help others starting out. Some youtube content creators are complaining about revenue being down because of less companies placing ads on youtube. Personally never collected revenue for content but curious now going into retirement. Is there a method others have used with success to gain revenue?

You tube relies on ads, google owns it and if they don't like your truth, the ad people take them off and you won't get paid. Also if debunkers are anything like the trolls, they can click you out/off youtube, with phony reports of abuse. people are turning to Patreon where you can get crowd viewer donations if they like your info. It's working, and NO ad space if the person owning the page doesn't want it. YouTube makes the business decisions on that, while YOU are the owner at patreon. Grassroots doing our own thing.

On the days I get 10,000 unique visitors on my blog, Word Press will maybe cut me a check for $2.00, for the ads they place on my blog. For $99 a year for the site, it's not a winning formula.

Not going to retire on that revenue. Fortunately, I don't have to do it as my day job, just yet.
When in doubt, do the next right thing.
