    Default Sensationalist Reporting

How often I have seen and unfortunately read stories which are borderline incredulous, and downright ridiculous when it comes to tabloids, articles written in magazine specialising in the so named UFO, and those who write their own blogs.

The motivations for sensationalist stories are no doubt many, including financial, ego trips, attention seeking, and spreading false stories for the sake of it. This is the nature of the public arena, when it gets to the masses with the state of the world and frankly constant lies and counter lies being told on a variety of different subjects it should not surprise any of us. Yet there maybe darker motives to all these stories that are published or become a topic of discussion by the UFO Community and tabloids alike.

Disinformation and misinformation can be considered deliberate acts, and general practice by some who specialise in these areas. Interference from the intelligence community is a strong possibility since it is known they have paid interest to the UFO for many reasons, mainly domestic in nature and the current climate of the type to determine the nature of the activities and whatever outcomes that need to be achieve at that time.

We could also wonder that other reasons are why these kind of stories attract attention is the need for something to stand out, with all the sci-fi films being produced and the revenue it attracts, that the world between fact and fiction is getting blurred to the point some cannot tell the difference any more.

The lack of creditable information, and the lack of facts and good research, which has deteriorated over the last few decades has added to the problem, the subject has been hijacked with stories which have no evidence, no substantial credibility, and diverts the attention away from good solid events of incidents which are worthy of investigation, if investigations are up to standard, which in the current climate is few and far between.

There is also a social element to all this, people are creatures that like collective events and usually go with the flow or the masses, be it physically or mentally, follow the line of mass thought so to become a part of a social group, regardless whether those thoughts are based on reality or not.

It will obviously continue, I just hope the glimmer of light prevails in the darkness that has engulfed much of the subject.
