Good morning Avalonians and Visitors, the Earth says hello!

In the forty years that I've been living among Christians, and absorbing the tradition of Christmas, I can't recall this thought ever journeying in my head. But now that it has, is it possible that the masters of fractional reserve and/or the black-daggered princes of Satan took two birds with one stone (e.g by manufacturing a shibboleth and creating homonymous resonance between the existing Christian religious tradition and their own pseudoChristian commerce tradition)?
