"So why did I give you this little history lesson on serpents?

It's the rising upward of this vital energy that was predicted by the Maya for us. This energy rises because our level of consciousness and understanding has risen, causing movement upward through the seven different chakras.

It's time to release this old denied charge that has built up within us, and becoming a whole person, who not only "thinks" but "feels." It's about bringing the masculine and feminine energies together at the heart and closing the gap that separates them. It's realizing we are only complete when we have both energies working together instead of against each other.

    Conclusion:

For years before the beginning of the next Great Cycle and years after, we have been asked to take on the values of new age, also know as the Age of Aquarius. A lot of pain is usually experienced during this transition, because we fight the change and the emotions that need to be felt.

It's about shedding that "skin" like the snake to experience rebirth or renewal at a different level of consciousness. We are all aware of our present economic, environment and social chaos. This debacle will intensify, till the cleansing or shedding is complete.

The values of Age of Pisces, which has just passed are money, power and control. They don't work in the present age. Rebirth will come when we internally embrace and practice the values of the new age of love, brotherhood, unity and integrity. The children of today, were born with some of these qualities already in tack.

I see these ancient stories or myths metaphorically. The return of enlightened beings like Quetzalcoatl and Jesus may not be a "physical" returns at all. Instead we may at last become aware of the vital power within us. It would be OUR rebirth to a higher level of consciousness as predicted by the Maya. It's at this level of consciousness we just may realize..."

But do we fall in complete darkness, night of the soul, before we rise in the radiance of the Golden Dawn?

Please discuss... What are your thoughts and experiences with the shifting of the yugas?

Great Topic Yuki! Understanding the yuga cycles is like being able to look into the future, to predict and understand a rhythmic flow of character development as we cycle around the precessional clock. The vedic people were able to figure it out, they predicted our age with a high level of accuracy; the age of deception where philosopher kings are considered the lowest caste in society, and the dishonest plunderers and thieves are adored, raised up and elected into government to cause chaos and feast on the misery of others.

The Roman Saturnalian cults actually used to parody this age of the kali yuga. Once a year between the 17th to 23rd December (the darkest nights of winter) a servant or slave would be chosen to act as master of the house in a complete role reversal of the standard social hierarchy...they'd all drink, gamble, party and get merry--with the genuine masters of the house now waiting on and serving the servants!

It's interesting that Saturn is often associated with satan by some in todays esoteric circles, but Saturn was originally the lord of the Sat-ya yuga, the golden age. The Saturnalian cults then were a festival of light, honouring the dark days of winter but yearning for the agricultural abundance and rebirth of spring and summer.

Another point that might be of interest is the Hermetic scholar, Dame Francis Yates, who mentioned in one of her books that 'the revelation of St John' ('the book of the apocalypse') wasn't so much a prophesy of a one time event that might occur in the future or the recount of some dark time of humanity in the past--but instead is actually the blueprint for a cycle, a sine wave that moves up and down repeatedly throughout the ages.

From this cyclic perspective it could tie in to the rise and fall of consciousness as we move through the yuga ages:
As we ascend the yugas our 7 trumpets, 7 churches, 7 seals, 7 candles, 7 angels etc (spoken of in that text)--all symbolising the 7 chakras--become activated.
And as we descend, those 7 candles get snuffed out 1 by 1 until consciousness becomes darkened and fades...the natural rise and fall of kundalini as the earth moves through different electrically charged zones in the precessional zodiac.

By my estimates I'd say civilisation is halfway up the ascent phase, struggling to make the transition from the fourth to fifth chakra. (and I'm not just saying that arbitrarily, there's a lot of science to back that idea up)...
...I see it as a stage of metamorphoses, like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. We're at the chrysalis phase where the internal structures of the caterpillar are breaking down into a cellular soup; yet the imaginal cells are driving the metamorphosis forward to create a new sub-structure of something more majestic. To the way of life of the caterpillar everything appears like doom and gloom--the end of the world--not realising its destined to be reborn into something more elegant, graceful and liberated!...
...that is if we manage to wriggle free from the chrysalis keeping us contained! Will humanity crack its shell to emerge victorious or will our wings be torn as we make our daring escape?

Related to your remarks on the Apocalypse: Last night, I read a blog post by Aug Tellez, who claims to have been instructed by the powers that be to help awaken the masses to what is happening. I have been reading or listening to what he has to say with interest, but not with blinders on.

From his blog post, The Corruption of The Creation of Earth:

What has been called “Armageddon” in the past is when the system detected that Humanity was nearing high self-awareness and initiates a break-down of the reality’s infrastructure so as to induce instability and disrupt the mental liberation. The “Apocalypse” is the event which yields the mass awakening that nullifies all and any attempts by the system lords, the programmers the false architect, and synchronizes the collective mind with the true reality thus dissolving the false timeline.

The “Book of Enoch” was an ancient discovery of the holographic nature of this realm and the realization that a dark faction controls the oppression of Humanity and yet that time itself is artificial and the mass awakening of Humanity results in an “Unveiling” of the true reality which is far beyond the surface level of the illusion and as far as the illusion goes is literally consistent with depictions of advanced technological systems that generate the flow of time and alter history in accordance with the oppression of the Human reality.

Thank you guys for the replies. I will have to go over them in detail later, to address certain things I am curious about. For now here's an introduction to "The Holy Science," and a link to the complete book.
