Default U.S. Diplomats suffer brain injuries from acoustic attacks

‘This is unprecedented, we have not seen this type of activity take place before’

    ^^^really? .....

By Laura Kelly - The Washington Times - Wednesday, August 23, 2017

An acoustic attack on U.S. and Canadian diplomats in Cuba is “unprecedented,” State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert said Wednesday, after revelations that American employees have suffered severe health problems including mild brain injury and damage to the central nervous system believed to have come from exposure inaudible high-pitch sound.

“This is unprecedented, we have not seen this type of activity take place before,” Ms. Nauert said. “Nowhere.”

The occurrence of a sonic attack on North American diplomats first came to light earlier this month with the State Department saying staff at the embassy in Havana experienced “physical symptoms,” and the Associated Press reporting confirmation by U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that some staff suffered “hearing loss.”

Other U.S. employees were reported to have had headaches, nausea and balance disorders, among other symptoms. The State Department would not comment on the symptoms reported but said the U.S. government had sent medical professionals to embassy staff in Havana in addition to evacuating more serious cases to a Miami Hospital.

“Like any top-notch academic medical center in the nation, the University of Miami is often consulted regarding complex health care issues or emerging diseases. In the case of U.S. diplomats, our physicians were consulted by the State Department,” a statement from the university said, reported CBS.

A spokeswoman for Johns Hopkins confirmed that one of their doctors is advising the State Department on the issue.

Earlier this month it came to light that since December 2016, U.S. staff in Havana had been complaining of a range of symptoms that included nausea, problems with balance and hearing loss. Some staff were evacuated to medical facilities in Miami, Florida for treatment but others were treated in Havana by U.S. medical personnel brought in by the U.S. government, Ms. Nauert said.

“This is a matter we take very seriously, we are working and have been working to provide our staff and U.S. government employees with the best medical attention that we can provide to them.”

An investigation is ongoing across multiple U.S. agencies, Ms. Nauert added.

CBS news reported that a source within the State Department said it’s possible the attacks occurred either in diplomatic housing — provided by the Cuban government — or close by.

Earlier this month, the Cuban government denied any involvement in the attacks in a statement to CBS: “Cuba has never permitted, nor will permit, that Cuban territory be used for any action against accredited diplomatic officials or their families, with no exception.”

Stopping short of calling it reciprocity for the attacks, Ms. Nauert confirmed in early August that two employees in the Cuban Embassy in the U.S. were asked to return to their country.

It does not make sense that Cuba would do it, repeating what ZeroHedge says in the video. How likely or unlikely would it be that they are directing this technology at large populations of people, where it's beaming at us through our laptops or other devices?

Anyone sees what's wrong with that picture?

The fact is no one knows what's causing it but can't help with slipping in a strong suggestion... which is a misdirection AKA "disinformation."

For all intents and purposes, this could be their own WiFi system frying them crisp or a geostationary satellite microwave beam...

The Russians were micro waving US diplomats years ago, and US intel knew it, I guess they wanted to see what happened to the diplomats/ guinea pigs / victims.

As for sonic attacks, Hawkwind ought to sue them lol

Default 'Sonic attack' on Cuban diplomats

One piece of mainstream news that has been catching my attention recently, that I've seen from a number of mainstream media outlets, including the BBC:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41133855

It's of a suspected acoustic attack on US embassy staff in Cuba, revealed by US officials.

"Diagnoses include mild traumatic brain injury and permanent hearing loss, with such additional symptoms as loss of balance, severe headaches, cognitive disruption and brain swelling"

"The statement is the first time that the hearing loss has been described as permanent. It is understood that "mild traumatic brain injury" could include concussion or headaches."

I would be interested to read opinions from other Avalonians on this item.

Do you think this reporting is truthful, or do you consider it fake news designed to propagate an agenda? I have become so jaded by mainstream reporting that I tend to disbelieve pretty much everything I read.

I remember having a conversation with an engineer working in the defence industry who told me matter-of-factly that certain frequencies when targeted at humans can indeed be detrimental to the human physiology.

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

[Mod-edit: I merged your thread with this pre-existing one, Hervé]

Was it a 'sonic attack' or really bugging technique used by the Cubans that has been branded as a weapon by the US authorities to save face? Or on the other hand was it used by the US as an interfering vibrating frequency to prevent detecting window and wall vibrations from being translated into spoken words from within a room where the window pane is mounted, and some US security geek had it turned up too high? Easier to blame the Cubans in that case!

Thanks Nick. "Sonic attack" to me seems like a vague journalistic scare mongering phrase. The report contain next to no technical detail.

However I have managed to come across the following information :

In 2001 after residents of Kokomo, Indiana, began reporting symptoms including “annoyance, sleep disturbance, headaches, and nausea,” the U.S. National Institutes of Health investigated the issue. The result was a dossier on the toxicology of “infrasound”—acoustic energy with wavelengths of 17 meters or more. The agency couldn’t pin down the cause of the Indiana residents’ symptoms as infrasound, but the report did confirm that infrasound can cause fatigue, apathy, hearing loss, confusion, and disorientation.

Anyone who tried to heat up a meal wrapped in aluminum foil with a microwave (microwave oven lights up with flying sparks) will instantly understand this simple test for the detection of said microwaves:

    From Jim Stone:
First of all, do you remember the news from a couple weeks ago where American political workers in Cuba said they all got beamed and damaged by it? That's a laugh in itself - as if the U.S. government does not do that - it happens here all the time.

When it happens they beam the sh*t out of this house so bad you can take a piece of crumpled up (and then partially straightened out) aluminum foil, put it on the bed in the dark, and it will have glowing, blue ionization flashes all over it that are extremely faint but noticeable in complete darkness with eyes adjusted to the dark. The ionization glow is what happens if the energy is not high enough to create a bright flashing spark. That is what is happening here, and it simply means they are not being casual at all with the beaming. If you can notice a glow of any sort, they are being completely careless with the energy levels.

Just searched the forum for 'infrasound' and this was the most recent mention so here's what I just read today from Lyall Watson's book, Supernature. It certainly confirms just how damaging infrasound can be.

Quote (early to mid 60's) Professor Gavraud is an engineer who almost gave up his post at an institute in Marseilles because he always fell ill at work. He decided against leaving when discovered that the recurrent attacks of nausea only worried him when he was in his office at the top of the building. Thinking that there must be something in the room that disturbed him, he tried to track it down with the devices sensitive to various chemicals and even with a Geiger counter, but he found nothing until one day, just as he was about to give up, he leant back against the wall. The whole room was vibrating at a low frequency. The source of this energy turned out to be an air-conditioning plant on the roof of the building across the way, and his office was the right shape and the right distance from the machine to resonate in sympathy with it. It was this rhythm, at seven cycles per second that made him sick.

Fascinated by the phenomena, Gavraud decided to build machines to produce infra sound, so that he could investigate it further. In casting around for likely designs, he discovered that the whistle with a pea in it issued to all French gendarmes produced a whole range of low-frequency sounds. So he built a police-whistle six feet long and powered it with compressed air. The technician who gave the giant whistle its first trial fell down dead on the spot. A postmortem revealed that all his internal organs had been mashed into a jelly by the vibrations.

Gavraud went ahead with his work more carefully and did the next test out of doors, with all observers screened from the machine in a concrete shelter. When all was ready, they turned the air on slowly – and broke the windows of every building within a half mile of the test site. Later they learnt to control the strength of the infrasound generator more effectively and designed a series of smaller machines for experimental work. One of the most interesting discoveries to date is that waves of low-frequency can be aimed and that two generators focused on a particular point even five miles away produce a resonance that can knock a building down as effectively as a major earthquake.

These frequency-7 machines can be built very cheaply. (At the time of writing the plans could be bought from the (Paris) Patent Office for just three francs.)
That was the mid 60's, fifty years on you'd have to think they've done some work on it since then. (Incidentally, Wiki doesn't have an accurate date for the professor's passing but takes a guess at died between 1968 and 1972 - a matter of years after the experiments discussed above).

Sounds like what Tesla did with his "earthquake machine"!

A much more sensitive detection of strong microwave (and any other strong EMF radiation) is to use a basic neon bulb with a few inches of wire attached to each lead. If anyone is really in an EM field strong enough to cause even faint arching on aluminium foil, the neon bulb will glow bright orange! We used this crude but effective device to detect microwave leakage from radar magnetrons.

(Just had a look at Jim Stone's site. His 'info' on 50kW cell towers is crazy. Who feeds him this stuff?)
