There are some who say the core of our planet is like a miniature sun , plasma/molten/energy , and solar eruptions release massive amounts of energy which impacts our core ... That energy/pressure has to be released, hence the tectonic plates move ... The bigger the solar release the bigger the earthquake ... Point being our fusion star determines earths fate/climate ... No wonder the ancient peoples studied the sun and built things in balance with the stars ...

There were 4 major aftershocks from this quake so far (level 5 or greater) within about the first 4 hours of the 8.1 major quake..

Historically this whole area is noted for earthquake activity. (see below) (each circle denotes a location, the legend describes the intensity and depth).

The quakes appear at the plate junctions where they bump into each other and each plate attempts to ride on-top of or go underneath or slide against.

The last Mexico earthquake occurred in the area of a Subduction Zone.

The Cocos plate is being subducted beneath North American plate and thereby produces large earthquakes on the region. (Normal earthquake geology).

The epicenter of this earthquake occurred offshore, which is the reason why a tsunami alert was launched in the Pacific by the appropriate agencies.

At the moment of this posting, only moderate tsunami arrivals had been reported (see post #2 above).

Just a short note on the lights commonly observed before and during large earthquakes. These are referred to as a piezoelectric effect. A good proportion of the earth's crust is made up of quartz crystals. When a quartz crystal gets compressed and squeezed it generates an electrical signal (very cool). As you know from quartz crystal watches, a battery excites a crystal to oscillate at a specific and constant frequency which further generates an electric signal every second or so. During tremendous tectonic stress and strain, the earth crust is compressed and so are huge volumes of quartz. This results in in the release of tremendous amounts of electromagnetic energy, seen as lights. Often the energy is only detected by animals, sensitive types and certain detectors.

a google search on 'piezoelectric effect during earthquakes' will give you much information.
By the way, the system works both ways. That is, deforming crystal will produces electricity... but also induced electromagnetic fields near fault lines will also deform quartz to potentially trigger earthquakes...

I remember seeing a video on Avalon of a couple kayaking in Canada & they saw green orbs & shortly thereafter there was a quake. Makes sense about the quartz crystal!

I showed this to my husband, who had a UFO sighting last January. The night before the sighting, he had a lucid dream and in it was what he described as a "conscious" orb that flashed different colors. He said the orb in this video looks something like what he saw.
