What a beautiful trip down memory lane.

I viewed the song with different glasses when I was young.

    It's so nice to 'see'.

    Peace out

The story of my life - From a dream to reality
    (5:39 min.)
    Jonna Jinton

Quote This video is about how I changed my life 8 years ago, when I left the citylife and moved 1000 km to the north and started a new life close to nature. Close to all the things my heart was longing for.

These 8 years have been so challenging and hard but also wonderful and magical in every single way. I have learnt so much from that day I came to the old house in this smal village in the forest with no money, no job and no plan on what I should do with my life.
But from that day I started living, for real. I started appreciating things that I had never even thought of when living in an apartment in the city. And I learnt that you can never feel the wonderful, comfort feeling of warmth if you have not yet been cold.

I started with nothing but a dream. And today, I live my dream. Everyday I feel so thankful for still being able to live here in my little paradise deep in the forests in the north of Sweden, and working with all the things I love, and sharing my life with someone I love.

In this video you get to see a short summary of these years. Of course, many details are not included since the video would be 2 years long if I would include all the things that happened along the way. But at least it tells my story in a big picture

I hope you like it! ♥

But, added Winnicott, the catastrophe has been forgotten; and that is what is making us so ill and sick with worry. If the future is to get brighter, we will need to remember the catastrophe and locate it where it really belongs: safely but also poignantly and tragically in the past.

    Rafiki:
It doesn't matter, it's in the past.
    Adult Simba:
    Yeah, but it still hurts.
    Rafiki:
Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.

This post of O Donna's, and the images, reminded me of a poem I wrote about something I experienced. To do with seeing and being seen. I wrote it to relay it as it happened.

    Invisible
(the true story of the girl on the beach)

It was the end of a long day
    spent wandering alone,
    amidst the jostling crowds
    and busy mouths that shift
    beneath the scorching
    muscle of the Sydney sun.

I sat down by the beach
    to finish my read,
    comfortably drowsy in the heat.
    The nearest body
    fifteen or twenty metres away,
I zoned in on my book.

As I buried my head in its final page
I thought to myself a quiet thought,
    ‘It’s been a good day I think,
    but a lonely one.
    I feel like I’m invisible.’

    A moment later I felt a stare
    drift over the thoughts
    and layers in the print.
I laid it down upon my lap,
looked up and there she was.

    A blonde little girl,
no more than two or three feet tall.

She smiled at me as if to say
    ‘Finally, you’ve noticed me.’
Then with a gentle tilt of her head
    “You’re not invisible” she said.
    “I can see you.”
    She continued to stare.
    “I can see you from
    all the way over there…
    Look...” she said,

and with that she ran back
to the edge of the shore,
    to where she’d played,
    twenty meters away,
    or maybe more,
    and once sat down
    amongst her friends
    she beamed with a smile…

    and from there,

    she waved.

How to convey how it made me feel... (?) A calm joy reached into my heart in the space of an instant. Making me smile from the inside out. A deep warmth rippled in the space between us. Connecting to something, to someone, with such purity. Life is sometimes purest in its simplest moments. And in a way (on some days) what can be more simple than the need to feel seen, and the willingness in another to be the one who sees?

Children can be so magnificent in their gentle hearts and their honesty.

    and from there,

Children can be so magnificent in their gentle hearts and their honesty.
...... and grown children like you, and all whom bless us with their loveliness,
    are truly miraculous!

    Published on 16 Nov 2018

    Part of the youtube description:

“Inspired by the vision of Alaskan Unangan traditional and environmental leader, Ilarion (Kuuyux) Merculieff, invitations were sent out to gather Elders from the four directions to sit in council and hold ceremonies for the purpose of deep listening to the wisdom streams that were ready to be shared.”

Some quotes from the video :

“We are the ones we've been waiting for, and what we know is that
the key to this mystery is simply to drop into your heart”

“I will meet you there, and we're gonna heal the earth.
    We're gonna heal our people.
We're gonna heal ourselves and everything around us”

“Remember who you are, live your traditional wisdom.
We need you. The earth needs you. Now”

“If we focus on what we dream this world to be, that will become the reality”
