Are Saturn's Rings Disappearing?

Saturn's rings are made of water ice, and it's been known for a while that various processes causes them to erode and rain down on the planet. New research hangs a number on the rate of that "ring rain" — from 400 to nearly 3,000 kilograms per second. This means that, if nothing resupplies them, Saturn's rings could disappear in as little as 100 million years.
