such brilliance we are. 'the future is ours to decide'.

Interesting video, the many heads looked like a collections of decapitated people, heads without bodies with their eyes closed. Too many past lives with collections of heads evoked from that one. The last word about coral reefs made me hope that there are no Villagers using that blue sh!t in their toilets. My avatar is really beginning to make sense to me.
Know what you mean about the disembodied heads ModWiz, many 'memories' there. Heads may roll again, eh?
A village-wide ban on blue **** in our toilets is formally called for!

Taken from a Facebook friend's page:
    -----------------
A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by, and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace, and stopped for a few seconds, and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping, and continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried, but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally, the mother pushed hard, and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.

In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money, but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the most talented musicians in the world. He had just played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, on a violin worth $3.5 million dollars.

Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste, and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?

One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

What a sad and interesting story. I would have likes to have seen it conducted in a wal-marts or similar place where scheduling is somewhat factored out. By putting in a setting where time is at a premium and precious, one cannot tell if the reason the violinist went unnoticed was because of an inability to allow for attention or if it was a case of putting pearls before swine. I would guess the elite types running the WP were trying to prove the latter.

Thank you eaglespirit for your messages today, your messages touch me and they are beautiful.

After I posted today about extreme emotions, the next door neighbor assaulted my husband. We called the sheriff, the sheriff called the paramedics. They were about to leave when I asked them to ck his bp. It was 255/159. I am not joking. He would not let me take him to the emergency room until he knew the man was being arrested, afraid to leave the kids here alone.

Long story short, I did get him to the e.r. After 4 hours, they finally got him out of stroke range. They found some cardiac enzyme which should not have been in his blood, and diagnosed him as a diabetic. They did some type of blood glucose test that looks at the red blood cells over the past 3-4 months to make sure. Definitely sky high. His nose is broken, and he can't move his right arm very much...but nothing else is broken. Will have a black eye and too many bruises to count. The man did not go to jail.

All I could think about waiting for xrays and waiting for labs and waiting for meds and on and on...was I sure wish I could get to the Village.

And I come back to find these beautiful offerings of love. At least, and for the first time in days, these tears are from another part of my heart...one that is not in sadness or emotional pain.

    Much Love,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

    Much Love,
OMG...I'm speechless. How is that possible? Why did they even interact at all? I thought you lived far away from other people in your new home....I guess this is what you have been sensing these last few days.
I feel helpless right now as I'm coming down with a flu...got sick from all these crazy temperature changes the last few days ...they were simply too much for me...sitting waiting in a/c offices then back outside in the heat... The thread seems quiet, or is it me? Missing Astrid's posts.

I'm sad to hear you aren't feeling well, Ulli It seems quiet to me, too

I'm not sure why or how this happened, to be honest with you. It was quite sudden. Zeek, the dog who spends so much time at our house, is harmless but he is still a dog. He likes to chew. And sometimes he gets into our shed or our garage and gets into a box and chews up what's in it...or takes our boots from our back porch and drags them off to chew...he's just being a dog. But it's quite irritating. He did this last weekend, and we simply took him home and told the next door neighbor what had happened. She apologized and said that she and her husband were going to get a chain for when they let him outside. I guess they didn't. It was been around the freezing mark outside at night, and he is sleeping in the hay and straw in the outside barn thing where there used to be horses. No problem there. But today he got into some boxes and started at it again. So, once again we returned him home, but this time no one came to the door. The young man we took in saw a leash on their front porch and connected him to it. My younger daughter couldn't bear the thought of no food or water so she wanted to make sure he was cared for.

An hour later, the couple charged our house spewing hatred and insults and swearing like I haven't heard in quite a while. My husband is the one who answered the door. To give an idea of what they said, it went something like, "don't you ever touch my effing dog, and you stay the eff off of my property..." type of stuff. This couple looks to be about 25-30 years old. My husband is pushing 55, has gray and white hair, etc.etc. He tried to get a word or two in, but they were charged up before they even hit the fence line. I would guess they live 100 yards from us, but they are slightly behind so we never see them. And the trees and the barbed wire fencing...plus the different sets of hobbies and interests...really don't allow many opportunities to see each other.

I digress. At some point, my hubby had heard about enough, and pretty much ordered them off the property. The wife, the instigator and the provoker, stopped to give him one more round and he told her to get the hell away from us. Well, yelled, not told. The husband didn't like that and he charged himself right back onto our property and up to our back porch and sucker punched my hubby. My hubby punched him back and the guy tripped him and jumped on his back and beat the everlovin crap out of him...well, tried. My 16 year old daughter jumped on the guy and tried to drag him off...the wife started hitting and slapping my daughter...and all of this happened in about the time it took me to put on my jacket and shoes to go out and see what the hullaballoo was. I am the one who calmly went to the young man and gently said, "Sir, please stop. Please." And I was able to get his fists off my husband. And he backed off. But, oh no not that wife. She yelled a bunch of stuff, which honestly has made me laugh all night, but that's because I really don't care. It still infuriates my husband. Stuff like, "don't you have a job? don't you all work?" Ummmm, actually, no, I don't have a job. And...you're point is???? Or screaming at me that I'm white trash...and I just think it's funny.

    There's the skinny.

I hope, with all that I am, that I can see my way out of this one. What have I done? Moved smack-dab into the center of what I was trying desperately to leave behind. Maybe there is a loophole to our contract on this place...I really don't know what the answer is. Why was there so much synchronicity every single day leading us here, only for us to get here and find sh!t like this? If this is what I was feeling, why didn't I know? Why couldn't I have known so that I could prevent it?

    Much Love,

Perhaps the first thing you need to let go of is the victim consciousness, this will add to your fears and forgive them (a VERY big ask), for they know not what they do.

I was looking at the planetary alignments and came across this which may shed some light:

    Daily Mood Alert.

    19th - 20th February 2012
    Issued at 03:33 UTC/GMT

With just days to go before the next New Moon tensions may be running high with increased nervous restlessness and anxiety.
Under these circumstances feelings may undergo a transformation of personal identity that expose and lay bare inner frailties, or by contrast the awareness of expanded horizons.
In reality there may be a confusion of purpose and direction, with a flood of sensitive, delicate, or sentimental emotions that release a sea of in-held feelings.
It cannot be too highly stressed that this is a mood situation likely to be governed by high impulse, exaggerated emotions and the tendency towards escapism, excess, and the allure of deceptive ambitions. These may attach themselves to altered horizons that bring a false perspective of attractive alternatives whilst cementing future problems of inestimable proportions.
At the same time there may be a flood of inner impressions, with thoughts and ideas, that although confusing may be retained and stored as seed for future pursuits and ventures.
The reality is that emotionally no two days are the same. This current mood period highlights this to a major extent. Varied, as well as reflective, it offers strong desire towards positive personal development, as well as a sharp illustration of personal inadequacies.
With regard to personal relationships these may undergo a probing, or searching outlook that contrast individualistic, or even indifferent inclinations with the need for affection, intimacy, or just simply the need to feel loved and wanted.
Coming days will see a definite heightening of emotions as we approach the New Moon with the possibility of agitated, unsettled, turbulent, or out of character feelings with the potential for erratic mood changes.
On the positive side there will be plenty of natural energy with adventurous, or risky inclinations, but also a more optimistic psychology that opens doors to newer and more rewarding horizons.

Alert is 8. Moon 8% illuminated.

Hey 1inMany sorry about your experience -hope your husband is okay. A prayer for you, your husband, everyone involved and the dog.

The solar flares can cause a lot of tensions and emotions to run high. A lot of people don't sleep; use that time very constructively or take care of themselves around it either. Seemingly normal people will do strange things or act out in anger. As the sun flares, the energies change and the earth shifts with them we will probably see more of this.

Strange occurrences on the mountain too energy feels odd, forest quiet and strange sounds -continuous ringing or low vibrational mono-tonal piercing sounds..... usually at the 6ft above the ground level -tonight only 3ft above the ground. It also has been disrupting communications sometimes.

Today did some housework, yard work and took a very much needed sea salt bath. Feeling much better.

    Enjoying a good warm fire.

    Have good dreams.

    Love

    Nora

    I have another kitty visitor
He/she also came last week, and earlier was calling at my door. I am grateful. Their purring is healing...

I am reminded of our attachment to "Father Time" by these pics I took in the city last week. Its larger than life and quite impressive. Apologies for poor quality, taken with my iPhone. The message is clear though

    Dear 1inMany...

My Dad gave me some good advice, and it always seems to work,

    "Don't waste your time with a** h#les."

We can't expect that everyone in this world will be to our liking. Don't worry too much that you have found some right next door. Just remember the old adage 'good fences make for good neighbours!'. A respectful distance is the best way to deal with an ornery dog. Any more visits or threats like this, and a restraining order would be a good idea, although you have sufficient grounds already to press charges. But at least you have made a report so the incident is documented.

It is a very good opportunity to practice controlling the mind. It is not possible to banish your neighbours from your thoughts, especially while your family heals from this attack. So when they do enter your mind, you can protect yourself by calling to mind your love symbol. It can be anything, as long as you recognise it as a symbol of love for you. A flower, the memory of a loved one's face, corn growing...as long as it is a visual picture that reminds you of love or something good and positive. Bring it to mind whenever you think of them. It will be difficult at first because everyone is still processing the incident, but keep going. With time it will become easier.

Good luck, 1inMany. Don't feel alone, although they have never been so agressive as your experience,I have neighbours that I don't get on with either. We can send them love together.

Make sure everyone can heal emotionally. Good food, rest, love and acceptance for everyone.

Yes, CottageRose, please share the mp3 with me. I need it very much, and appreciate that you offer

    Much Love,
    1inMany,

Thats some bad experience, i wish you and your husband and kids, strenght, good health and sanity i guess you have to live for a while longer with these neighbours.

As for your neighbour, what a prick.

Keep your calm if possible at all, dont let them drag you down to their level.

1inmany I'm so sorry. I'm keeping you in my thoughts, your family too.

Ulli I'm not well either. Feel rotten with flu like symptoms. Couldn't sleep last night so kept popping in. I rarely get sick.
