Default Near Death Experience of a Neurosurgeon

"A neurosurgeon shares his near-death experience."

"Bacterial meningitis, coma, earth worm eye view of the world, then the warm loving light..."

I always like it when a scientist totally changes his view. Without a near-death
experience the chance would be much, much smaller they suddenly see the light.

I also read this book of a Dutch cardiologist Pim van Lommel who changed his view.
He was struck by the number of his patients who claimed to have near-death experiences
as a result of their heart attacks. Very interesting!

If I am not mistaken, Pim van Lommel featured prominently in the documentary The Day I Died.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
(Even though it also features some insufferable drivel by Susan Blackmore.)

    Here it is.
I think it's the same one (that I saw originally, I mean).

Now I'm confused. It's precisely these neurosurgeons who were also claiming that the light and tunnel typically seen in NDE was caused by some electrical impulse in the brain.

@Nevermind: I saw Pim van Lommel in one of the videos indeed, Nevermind.
@58andfixed: I will watch the above interview. I have to sign up and pay to
listen on Coast to Coast. Maybe another time.

Thank you both for the links!
