The man being interviewed is named Robert Schwartz, and he's an author and presenter and also offers various services to anyone who is interested in diving deeper into this stuff. The show is slightly hokey; the interviewer has a morning talk-showy thing about him, but appears otherwise pretty sincere. Schwartz is very grounded and logical in the face of a pretty esoteric topic, which made an impression on me.

Topics covered are:

- pre-birth life plans, the nature of those plans (the permanence of some events vs the flexibility of others)

- free will, i.e. how much actually exists in this pre-birth plan.

- death or "exit points" (there are several, apparently, and are utilized according to a couple of factors, namely, if you've completed your mission here on earth, or if circumstances have or will prevent you from completing that mission)

- spirit guides and their specific roles in pre-birth planning, and their role in your life

- a committee of wise elders who also help your soul devise a plan, and what happens if you disagree with those elders

- soul virtues, our plans are all created to allow us to practice and perfect various virtues, like self-love, compassion, altruism etc

- the futility of a victim mentality (if you've planned it, you cannot be a victim)

This is my ultimate belief when it comes to spirituality. This is why I don't believe in soul traps on the moon or reptillians eating your soul. There are caveats. Reptillians might be eating your soul imbued flesh, but not the actual soul. Non-organic parasitic life forms might be feeding off of the risiduals of your soul but not the actual soul.
If we planned our life before we were born then I'm sure some planning went into the death part of it.

Yep, agreed.

I'm at a loss as to what type of language to use (spirit, soul, essence, higher self etc) but there is a part of us, I believe, that cannot be tampered with against our will.

In all the cases i've read or heard about, there hasn't been one ET experience written into someone's life plan. I may write to Schwartz and inquire about that. That's very curious!

My understanding is that there is one soul--non-duality=== One without a second.
That One soul becomes the many but is all that is without diminishing itself.
So in duality--Maya--Samsara--call it what you will--the play of consciousness requires subject and object--me and the other.
This is the illusion that on enlightenment disappears like the mirage it is.
The ego keeps Maya as a seeming reality. (I, me and mine)
Self realization reveals everything of the same energy but different vibrations.
Form-formless-both-- and neither.
Our destiny is enlightenment.
So yes there is the pre -birth plan--restricted consciousness evolves to know its full nature--the One Self.

Surprised that nobody has introduced the recently departed Michael Newton into this thread .To me he stands considerably apart and ahead of others who have investigated questions about soul life at death and the soul between lives .A very academic and scholarly figure . I wonder whether Robert Schwarz has been heavily influenced by Newton's work or -- dare I suggest --- used Newton's research findings to create his own platform .

Mike, I know Rob Schwartz. Back in 2004 when I lost my son, I used to go on to a website called neardeathexperience.org (I think that's the name). It's a repository of people's nde's and other supernatural experiences. I have a few on there.

Rob had posted a request for people who had had certain experiences in their lives, like death of a loved one. I had had two. One was a fiance in 1994, who was killed in a diving accident and the other was my son.

I dealt with him over the phone, as he collected and recorded my story. Then we had over the phone sessions with some psychics and that is also part of the book. The chapter about me is called "Death of a Loved One".

The book was originally published under the title "Courageous Souls". I still have my copy.

I have heard that book helped a lot of people and I actually found it to be really good.

He is the real deal as far as I know. And he did help me get through my son's death.

I'm with you Ripple, I love me some Micheal Newton. The Newton work is top notch and actually includes some information regarding aliens and the like. It is said that around ten percent of the population are originally from another planet, good stuff.

Mike, so glad you brought up Robert Schwartz and I will watch this video. Like others here, I started with Michael Newton and also bought a book by Schwartz.

As it happens, some 6 years later .. just a few weeks ago, I finally had a first regression with a clinical hypnotherapist. I came upon that place between lives. Still trying to make sense of it. What I came away with was an indelible link to this life. I just went with the flow, not expecting anything but certainly came away with something that I am still processing.

Wow, Val, how's that for synchronicity? Amazing.

Even more amazing is your resilience. If your life lesson was to be "knocked off balance", (understatement of the century) it seems excessive to me that you'd have to endure not one but 2 tragedies of this kind. I spose after taking all the emotion out of it, and seeing it big picture, it was a profound learning experience for your soul - a good thing. But I can't take the emotion out of it; ugh...it just makes me sick to my stomach. Soooooooo sorry you had to go through all that.

Apparently, it is possible to "bite off more than we can chew" in the between lives planning stages. We feel invincible while in the soul state (or whatever one wishes to call it) and can easily cram too many challenges into one life if we get too eager. There are examples of souls ignoring the advice of their guides and elders and sort of going rogue. This is precisely the sort of idiotic thing i'd do, and I've suspected more than once that this is exactly what I've done.

Here's where I get tripped up:
Schwartz indicates that there is free will, and we don't have to follow our life plan. Not following it usually entails disaster, eventually. The signs that one is off track are, initially, feelings like depression, hopelessness, anxiety, so forth. And yet, I imagine that these feelings would also accompany all the tragedies and "accidents" one plans in the pre birth state....so it's a little difficult to determine the cause of one's misery. Is it because I'm screwing up and deviating from the plan, or is it because of the difficulties of the plan itself?

And yet, it seems to be the nature of the universe that we all exist in a chain of nourishment for one another. Looked upon like this, maybe it's not such an evil thing.

I think energy harvesting is a very real phenomena. I regard these parasites sort of like vultures - not good, not bad...just entities doing what they're obliged to do. Maybe they are providing a vital service for the rest of us? Maybe what they do is akin to picking up the astral trash.

I think where things get malevolent is in situations where these entities deliberately manipulate people and things to get a "meal" as it were, outside the natural order of things.

I'd be interested to know if looshing has ever been discussed in the pre birth life planning stages?

So in a dream/nightmare anything can happen.
Hence the importance of awakening.
Once the notion that one is the body--persona and all the rest is let go off--where is the problem?

I'm only peripherally aware of Robert Monroe through Val Valarien's Matrix Books and the many references to his work I've seen through the years.

I'm putting his books on my must read list and it's time I give the guy his due and start accessing what he has learned.

Indeed, this reminds me very much of Alex Gray's " Deities drinking from the Milky Pool". I must also throw in as a caveat that although I give a high probability to what you say being true, I also think the initial message of this thread still rings true as well and that initial truth being that we all knew what we were getting into when we decided to be born here.

I'm also guessing that these same Deities are quite happily slurping away the energy released from sex and sexual acts.

I've always been a fan of these ancient forms of knowledge.

I'm also a fan of how the many energy bodies associated with body and soul are discussed and how these energy bodies are probably fed upon during life and then devoured when the body dies and the soul is released.



The Taittiriya Upanishad is an ancient Hindu text, and one of the most venerated by the Yogis of India, for it describes the five subtle bodies all humans posses. This information is vital if you're a yogi, or deep meditation practitioner, for, just as an electrician needs to know the lay out of unseen wires within a structure's walls, so to does the seeker of personal healing need to know the lay out of personal configurations that are the root of personality and ways a spiritual energetic parasite could manipulate our ego's and emotions into letting go of that with which is our birth right. The Taittiriya Upanishad describes the five affected bodies with which our untouchable immortal soul resides. It would be like the core of the earth we could compare to our soul, which is within the mantle of the earth, then the crust of the earth, then the breathable atmosphere of the earth, then the unbreathable atmosphere of the earth and then the electromagnetic shield of the earth. Those five bodies are as follows.

1. Anna Maya Kosha: The body made of physical matter

2. Prana Maya Kosha: The body made of vital energy

3. Mano Maya Kosha: The body of thought energy

4. Vijnana Maya Kosha: The body of higher intelligence

5. Ananda Maya Kosha: The body of mystical awareness

And it may just be a matter of shedding (this just occurred to me). Perhaps we shed some of these energy bodies, much like we do with our physical, and these parasitic entities use these for nourishment.

Michael Newton's books are good information. A good place to start getting info. As well as Monroe's books.
Animals feeding on plants, or on other animals. People feeding on animals and or plants. Or as in old times, even on each other (cannibalism was "normal" in Fiji for instance, just a few centuries ago).

Other higher-dimensional beings feeding off emotions of humans would "seem" a logical follow-up, higher up the chain. And who knows how far it can go this way.
I am familiar with the term "loosh". Still, I am also thinking along with Rudolf Steiner, that all types of being should and can move up "the ladder of consciousness/evolution".
At some point most if not all beings start to evolve, but it can take "aeons" indeed. But as time doesn't really exist, it should not be a real problem.

That is exactly the case in my opinion.

If we were to welcome the Eagle from Castaneda's works into this conversation it would be those bodies that are devoured, where as the immortal spark of our soul lives on.

Also, Mr. Walker's post has got my mind going back to the movie "cabin in the woods". Not our typical horror movie and really very enjoyable for it's originality related to what Mr. Walker is talking about. The below clip is a little more brutal than I would have liked but it was the best in so far as getting to the point of the movie, which was that the Gods must have entertaining sacrifice or they will end the planet if they are not placated. Two would be sacrificial victims escape and through happenstance turn the entertaining monsters against the priesthood who would meant to sacrifice them in the first place.
