Default World's oldest living person has eaten 3 eggs a day for over 90 years.

For a change of pace in my threads, here's something we can all feel happy and shinny about.

(NaturalNews) In a time when 'medical science' has everyone so scared to eat even the most wholesome of things comes a 117-year-old reminder that good, clean food is the key to long life, not that pre-packaged, processed stuff lining most grocery store shelves these days.

As noted by the "Today" show, just a year after a New York super-centenarian told the world that she ate bacon every day, an Italian woman who has succeeded her as the world's oldest living person is revealing that she is an egg lover, and that it's been a daily part of her diet for nearly a century.

Emma Morano, who was born in 1899, turns 117 in November. And she says she eats two eggs per day and that's it, along with some cookies. She says she can't eat much more than that "because I have no teeth."

In an interview with Agence France Presse Morano said she turns 117 on Nov. 27. She said that her daily egg routine began when she was suffering from a health crisis at the age of 20. Diagnosed with anemia, she consulted a doctor who told her she should eat three eggs per day – two raw and one cooked. And she continued to keep that dietary advice for more than 90 years, meaning she has eaten more than 100,000 eggs.

How do you know? I think if the egg is bad you can taste it, I once ate a bad one raw and got salmonella that was the only time from eggs.

Most eggs don't have Salmonella, it's pretty rare. Just ask Rocky.

    What?

Our "clean standards" are pretty damn new, people have been eating eggs LONG before disinfectants and anti-biotics...

plus I'll assume those chickens aren't from factory farming... which is a COMPLETELY different kind of egg ( my eggs are ORANGE when cooked.. the way nature made them to be!)

I hope you don't wash your hands multiple times a day... don't fall for that "germ fear porn",,,,,, she ain't what she seems to be!

There was a scare her once about salmonella, and edwina curry a politician said we have to cook all our eggs, I've not eaten a raw egg since then..

My niece also had a chicken farm supplying the supermarkets, she gave me a box of her eggs and some of the yolks were black/brown ugghhhh!! she told me that if a cock got in with the hens....she would have to get rid of all the 1000's of chickens she had, in case some of the eggs fertilised into a chick and someone sued them if they found a tiny bird in a box.

On reflection of my life, it's amazing how many impactful decisions have been made due to fears that were handed to me, fears with almost zero relation to reality (or JUST ENOUGH to be technically "true" but practically false, such as chickens and salmonella)

maybe she would have to get rid of one set of eggs, but not the chickens (unless she was greatly confused with the "birds and bees" process with chickens), is the UK especially "sue happy" because that doesn't seem like something "sue worthy" to me...

Maybe it was just more hand-me-down fears... we tend to collect those as we age.

Lots of questions need answering first:

mainly, what type of chicken are you looking at getting?

Will that chicken flourish in your area (weather, temps etc..)

I get 1-6 eggs a day, but with that many chickens (and me not keeping close count) I' can't be super sure..

I certainly have FAR more eggs than I need, but I also have two pigs... and they love eggs (so does the mongoose).

you should be fine with 15 chickens or so, assuming you have enough room for them to free range, I don't feed mine at all; they just eat bugs or what ever...

I'm getting mostly Araucanas and some Plymouth Rock ones. The locals told me they lay about 1 or 2 eggs per day. I'll update as soon as I start getting some results.

    Is this story true ?
Or is it just marketing lies put out by the dairy industry ?

It reminds me strongly of that other bullsh!t story about how red wine
is good for your heart... the same story that does the rounds every
couple of years, bang on cue...
Independent labs will do pretty much any study, for a fee.

If this story is true.. it's probably because this woman has been eating eggs from
free range hens ... in her own yard, or a local farmer etc.
    There's probably 6 hens, not 6,000 hens,
And.. if this story is true... how many times has this woman ended up with stomach
issues as a direct result of eating the eggs ? Has she really _only_ ever eaten
the eggs of perfectly healthy hens _all_ her life ?
Probably not. Hens like other animals come down with infections and illnesses.

I still remember Edwina Curry telling the TV cameras that most of the UK's
egg production was contaminated. (They sacked her for telling the truth)
The advice following Edwina's revelations was: ..
don't eat raw eggs ...and hard boil eggs, don't soft boil them.

You can't tell, by looking at the egg, whether it's contaminated or not.
And lets not forget, that most governments co-operate with water
fluoridation. ... and probably most have co-operated with chem-trail
    spraying too.

So..perhaps it's a good idea to be clear about what you _want_ to believe.
And why you _want_ to believe it.
Is it easier and simpler to trust that everything will be all right ?

I think the most is a bit above 300 eggs per year, they have to be fed a lot if you want many eggs.
If you let them mostly forage and feed them little you may only get 1 or 2 eggs a week.

Egg count will depend on breed and amount of food they get.

Lucidity I've eaten 100's of raw eggs, never had a problem except once when it was obviously bad and I still swallowed it.

This cracks me up... I had a three egg omelette today for lunch and knock down a good dozen a week at least.
All the above is all and only my opinion - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.

Mine I found in the parking lot of a hotel, a hen and 3 chicks... about a year ago... now I have around 40 (hard to tell) hahahaha..... so I'm not really sure what breed they are, they give nice large eggs, that's all I care about. ( but I know the breed does matter, especially in non-tropical places)

Oh I can only imagine.. factory farming is kind of disgusting.. no matter what you do.

Boarding horses (Basically a large part of what I do as a rescue) is much easier.

yeah, I'm sure some of the clutches I find have been there a few days (thats why they are 4-6 in count) like I said.. I"m not super observant about it & we have over 40 hens

I fed my dogs raw meat (mostly "tripe" (aka intestines)) every day in alaska... you can't beat the coats they had.. amazingly good for them.

I cleaned out the chicken barn today, I have 25 birds, and it wasn't that bad (except for the sheer weight of the straw and ****). Stop spreading misinformation about chickens, please. Keeping your own birdies is much safer and healthier than store bought, and Cayce identified chicken eggs as one of the most healthful foods.
