Jill Taylor, neuroscientist, had a stroke. She explains how this experience gave here a perspective on how brains work, "from the inside".
She explains it very clearly, not without humor, but also very sinceraly, passionate. Her emotions at the end of the video show she has a simple but strong spiritual message she wants to spread.

The part where she talks about experiencing the silence from all the chatter in her head sounds allot like what people who mediate experience.

Materialists claim the ego is nothing more than the product of a working brain. Dualists believe there is a soul which is able to live without a brain, lives on when you die, etc.

Neurologist Lionel Feuillet had some patients with tiny brains, even one with almost no braintissue at al. They all functioned well. One example:

If you ask me, this is nearly convincing proof the dualist vision is right.

There is a relatively new book written by a certain doctor , I can't recall the name of the book at the moment, that is all about recorded experiences proving that the brain does not need to be active in order for us to think.

It references many cases of various patients in hospitals who have essentially died for 30 minutes or so, had absolutely no brain activity as their brains were being measured, and yet upon being revived were able to tell the doctors and nurses words that were spoken between themselves while the patient was "lifeless". Many patients mentioned floating above their body and were also able to describe what the doctors were doing.

Near death experiences are indeed on the edge of real proof for dualism. But if you know sceptics a little, you know they always have their answer ready, maybe even before you've had the chance to ask your question.
In this case...
They say: maybe the signals were so weak, the measurement instruments of these days are not ready yet to measure such weak signals.
Also a very weak argument, for sure.

Indeed, scientific studies have proven that the mind is non-local and exists outside of the brain.
