McCain Campaign Suspension Precursor To...

John McCain's virtually unprecedented campaign suspension seemed at first glance to be political maneuvering inspired by slipping poll numbers, but with a more speculative inspection, one begins to wonder: Was he testing the water?
Of course this is speculation, but regardless, the "they" now have a gauge on the public reaction to a presidential candidate suspending his campaign under the guise of "what's best for the country". Here's the C2C and Jim Marrs take. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59y7FpYVQKg
If there is an election, may I humbly suggest (Marrs's idea, which for some reason escaped me) you write in Ron Paul.

he didn't cancel anything, all his ads where still on tv and he was holding rally's the day after he "suspended his campaign" all he did was take a plane to washington and hangout for a bit.

For what it's worth, that's the intuitive hit when I first heard this nonsense, which served a couple of goals:
1) it leant more seriousness to the 'crisis' that's been manufactured;
2) it planted in the minds of people the possibility that the election might have to be 'postponed' indefinitely due to the crisis.

I don't think they were testing the water as much as they were turning up the heat.

Agreed.

Problem-Reaction-Solution

But in order to garner the proper Reaction, "they" must have an accurate estimation of public sentiment.
They need test samples, wether they be covert like data mining or overt like this.
