Re: Russian Long-Range Missile Testing by land and sea today!
The composition of the forces and ministries that will be involved in the exercise does not leave any doubt—it’s a scenario of a nuclear war in which Russia and its ally Belarus will face the United States and NATO.

Nuclear war would be mutually assured destruction. The Russians know it's a lose-lose situation and they don't want to be turned to glass anymore than we do. They are strutting and showing their tail feathers--- sabre-rattling.

Re: Russian Long-Range Missile Testing by land and sea today!
Russia supplies 65% of the oil that goes to Europe. They could certainly bring Europe under "control" without too much trouble and not have to resort to any type of nuclear brinkmanship. After the U.S. and Israel setup the attack of Georgian forces against South Ossetia, which Russia soundly suppressed within days, Russia now sees the necessity to begin to neutralize the U.S. and western power elite in their moves to surround Russia with missle defense systems. Of course, the west is claiming that Russia is not the target of these systems. But, Russia knows better than to fall for those lies. It's unfortunate and dangerous that is has come down to this!
