So, the short answer is, I really don't know why he is saying this stuff.
Anyone who is paying attention to the world around them knows that some very major very bad things are afoot. I think the bankster bailout is a really big clue that America is going down and bigger demands are to follow. I've said before that I think the 2012 doomsday stuff is largely a distraction to keep people, especially the younger generation who are usually the activists, from paying attention to this type of activity, or to view it as part of a bigger spiritual plan and so put up with it. I really do hope I'm wrong and around mid-year we discover things are getting better, but I think we're looking at a manufactured global economic collapse, as Lindsay Williams has described. Things could be very bad and preparing is a good idea. It just won't have anything to do with geographic pole shifts or this other stuff Miller is talking about (IMHO).
Other earth changes are indeed possible. Climate change is an observable fact, and we're overdue for some big earthquakes in some key areas. The sun is coming off its minimum and heating up again, and the magnetic poles are weakening and could be flipping (eventually). A coronal mass ejection hitting the earth with a weak magnetic shield could get messy (fried satellites, electronics, and power grid). There are plenty of ways to add interest to the situation without talking nonsense.
I'm not opposed to people making money. Gotta make a living somehow. Maybe "doom" is the new "porn".
