As mentioned before, he shot on Standard Definition, I'm on High Definition, a huge difference. He also had a stronger zoom than me, so I think it's only logical that his artefacting would be stronger.
Also, the colours are only a matter of what white balance is set. I didn't bother changing as the real colour of an object like that is not determinable by a camera. What should the white balance be set to anyway? The object is probably in broad daylight where (and when) it is seen while the camera is in darkness.
