I read where Alex Collier addressed this at one very sad level. However, having been the ED for the Child Abuse Prevention Council in the San Francisco Bay Area for a number of years, we learned that children disappear for multiple reasons. Some are stolen by parents or relatives in child custody cases. Others are stolen for money gotten from private adoption purposes. Children are also kidnapped for satanic ritualistic abuse and children are kidnapped for child porn and used in child sex rings. Unfortunately, there is big money in stealing children.
