I suppose it makes sense, keeps them from rolling out of the fridge. Also the bright guy doubled the price of his produce just by putting it in a glass box.
What really suprised me was that watermelons in Japan are around US$ 40,00 each. And that's the round ones! We get them here for around US$ 2 - 3,00. The inbalance in the world sometimes just doesn't make sense.
