No apologies needed for the grim view. This is a somewhat grim subject. Everyone wants to be an accepted member of the group. They are often told to have faith or to think positively...or to not rock the boat. They are sometimes told that their 'salvation' depends on accepting a sacred text, narrow doctrine, or channeled entity...without evidence or proof.
A certain balance of conformity and non-conformity is essential. Questioning everything is a good thing...and then positively reinforcing the best things is an even better thing. This is easier said than done...but Avalon is a good place to begin. It teaches us to think...I think...therefore I am, I am, I am, I am...I am deluded...yes I am. Sorry.
