Re: A Dream I would like to Document - "Jesus is Lord"
With the greatest of respect toward you and others, may I make what I see as a vital point for you all to contemplate and consider about the name Jesus.
Look into any large dictionary (not online, but a book) and notice how few pages exist in the J section. There's historical reason for that... the letter J having developed from the I and the I from the Y together w/the fact that there was no "J" sound 2000 yrs ago.
And also consider that when a person's name is spoken in another language, the pronunciation of a name does not change. In other words, if your name is Thomas, the name would always sound like Thomas and its spelling would reflect that. Ask yourself, why has this name come to be spelled & pronounced entirely different than its original? And why do you continue to use it if you know this? Who are you really calling on when you use a name that did not exist? Are the results of the use what's important? Cannot a thief bring you results that you may be looking for, if it's an advanced being?
That said, would it not be more accurate, inclusive and non-controversial to use the title of Christ, in this day of the name perversion, considering that many here are sticklers for Truth? Is it not the consciousness that matters, Christ consciousness, meaning its attributes/character?
Many say that the name does not matter. I think it is a lie, as in there was an intention behind it's development.
Swerdlow says the name is Immanuel (like Ezeki-el, Gabri-el, Micha-el, EL being god). Others say Yah-shua (coming in his father's name YHWH).
Does it matter? and who is really being called when one uses an eroneous name? Inquiring minds may want to know. Ignorance exists and just may be the route of entry for manipulation.
Again, I write w/sincere intent of Truth. Is a name important? I ask you.
Orthodoxy... your last sentence reiterates the point of rightly accessing the holy spirit. thank you
