While I agree with you in principle unloadedgun, I still feel that there is a subtle difference in the guiltiness of those who knowingly lead others down the wrong path, and the witless ones who haven't got the will to question what they are told to do. If this guilt could be given a monetary value as a measure, then the guilt of the top echelon in the church would be in hundreds of dollars, while the flock would be priced in cents.
Mind you, when I come to think of it, there are a hell of a lot more flock than shepherds so the total value of cents could come close to the cost of shepherds. So in the long run I'll concede that you could be right.
