Yep, she probably knew all about the Law of Attraction. And of course I agree that you don't want religious institutions running your life. I think she was so popular in the 1950s because her books were considered very anti-communist, and people in the US were terrified of communism then. But there is a real lack of regard for collective humanity in her philosophy. Like, I'm going to relax here in my palatial apartment even though people are suffering outside...that has nothing to do with me, they are responsible for their own lives. Come to think of it, it sounds kind of Republican!
