Hi Tuza

I could never abandon my pets, myself. I think you are doing good by stocking up on as much food as you can for your pets. I am assuming it is kibble/canned food. However if and when that stock runs out, you (as you mentioned) are left with the option of feeding your pets food that humans eat and/or hunted/raw prey. As you probably know, the switch of foods from one kind to another is a gradual process. As a result, may I suggest, if you are not doing it already, that you mix in a little bit of fresh vegetables and/or meat to their kibble/canned food, if possible. That way, their system gets used to it and if things get tough you can feed them what you have stocked up for them as well as fresh foods that will not get them sick, if need be. Below is a chart that outlines the ideal-healthiest to the worst-unhealthy foods you can feed your pet(s). This chart can help you decide what you can feed your pets when, as you put it, the shtf.
