eyes wide shut is on austar right now . dataeast, to get this thread back on topic, what is your opinion of the idea to interview more ex-darksiders?
Yeah, I think it would be healthy to interview those who have been involved and no longer have "faith" in/or believe what they might have been led to think or believe. It's kind of a tricky thing because whatever we "divine" from our sources it's really interpretive unless we are only offering up an account of, say a channeled experience. Then, I'd think the channeled account and the channeler has to be tied together as an aggregate of information else it loses its perspective, so it's "so-and-so's" version of "the big idea".

The other thing is whether that message is truly a message for the "masses" or whether it's a personal message that has the touch and feel of something cosmic (symbolic). So what I mean is irrespective of their spin (good/bad or true/false), I think there is something maybe like a metaphor still in the overall message.

Even those that believe unequivocally the meaning of their experiences might be wrong, so yes I think that even those that consider themselves manipulated should be allowed a forum too. That's my heuristic mind thinking anyway.

Cheers
