I was enjoying a psychedelic experience with the music of bob marley a while back, and this may just be me, but so much of his lyrics were incredibley relevant to things going on these days, eerily, I couldn't quote any right now exactly but it would be interesting to see if others had noticed this with bob marley.

I was introduced to Bob Marley when I was about 15 and growing up in South Africa. His politics really woke me up and resonated with me deeply. His music has been a part of my life through the good and the bad - and it always seems topical and uplifting. Bob is one of my gods
Michael Franti along with Spearhead and/or the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy have some pretty powerful lyrics on a political and spiritual level.
And now to have a listen to the above suggestions.....
