I have not watched TV in over 2yrs now.....don't miss it either. But something I've noticed here in North America is; people will ask you over for dinner or to a party & they have the full big screen tv blaring in the background with images flashing from one screen shot to the next. This is very strange to me, why leave the tv on when you are people over & you are supposed to be socializing with each other. The tv is so distracting with its noise and flashing images.....I personally find that this is a rude behaviour.
