Is Obama Forming a “Shadow Government?”

Today, President Barack H. Obama appointed yet another “czar”, making the announcement at an AFL-CIO Laborious Day picnic in Cincinnati today; Ron Bloom will make the 33rd Obamic Czar, counting Van Jones, who just resigned but will surely be replaced with a less explosive (but every bit as Marxist) appointee, and after Obama taps someone else to fill Bloom’s old position as Car Czar.

Thanks to Glenn Beck, who has done a bravura job of journalism, here are the Czars; entries in blue are those Czar positions created expressly by Barack Obama:

Richard Holbrooke — Afghanistan Czar
Jeffrey Crowley — AIDS Czar
Ed Montgomery — Auto Recovery Czar
Alan Bersin — Border Czar
David J. Hayes — California Water Czar

In each case, the One has replaced functions normally carried out by cabinets or other agencies, headed by secretaries and directors who are subject to Senate confirmation (thus accountable to the United States Congress), with unelected, unconfirmed, unaccountable apparatchiks who ultimately answer to only one person: Barack Obama.

The departments raided of their authority in favor of Czars include the Departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, Treasury, Health and Human Services, Labor, Interior, Energy, Commerce, and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) — that’s the entire cabinet except for the Departments of Education, Transportation, and Veterans’ Affairs).

Republican Representative Jack Kingston (GA) and 29 Republican co-sponsors filed legislation that would force Obama to actually be accountable by vetting his Czars. This is probably one of the most needed pieces of legislation that we will see in our lifetimes. Obama has a list of 34 Czars - some 'positions' that still need to be filled but of that number 27 have not been vetted by Congress. In 6 months Obama has taken it upon himself to bypass Congress and the American people by appointing his very own 'shadow government'. The Czars report directly to him and are not held accountable to Congress; therefore, not held accountable to the American people - who pay their salaries.

From the United States Constitution - Article II, Section 2:

"[The President] shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments."

This clearly states that what Obama is doing by appointing Czars left and right is a violation of the Constitution...

Just cause that true patriot (snicker) Glen beck posted it IT MEANS NOTHING .

What the truth of it is .... is this because these Czars are appointed . BUT because there in nothing in regard to them being in the constitution They are not answerable to congress and so congress can not do anything about the actions they take. IT is a way to subvert the constitution and I`m sure congress know`s this because if they don`t its going to smack them flush across the face when they try. It`s just another step in the puzzle to seal the fate of gun owners, constitutionalist`s and free thinkers

GOP should shut up after they delivered Bush to the rest of the world for 8 years. As about the guys that are against Obama, if he is passing the health care bill, and i hope he does, they will loose big time. 2 years from now Obama will have more voters just because of the Health Care bill. This aint a war between obama and gop, but rather between obama and the health care insurance companies . I just hope he will have the guts to rampage the financial ones also.

Congressman wants all 'czars' to testify

Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) on Wednesday called for President Obama's "czars," or appointed high-level advisers, to testify before Congress about their "authority and responsibilities" in the executive branch.

The president's "czars" have become a point of controversy among his opponents because they do not have to be confirmed by the Senate as cabinet-level officials do.

McHenry wrote to committee chairman Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) and ranking member Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) asking the appointed officials to testify.
