Indeed Chmber, no one made any mistakes.
Solar radiation warning:mainstream http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/s...ists-warn.html Stronger radiation from the Sun 'will cause sat-navs to fail', scientists warn Britain’s satellite navigation networks could soon experience problems and disruptions caused by higher levels of radiation coming from the Sun, scientists warn. By Andrew Hough Published: 1:00PM GMT 10 Feb 2010 Experts say solar flares interfere with signals from satellites orbiting the earth, causing receivers to lose track of their position. Scientists warn the Sun is now on its way to another "solar maximum", which will cause the stronger levels of radiation to hit the earth. Researchers said satnav devices were facing the threat from an expected increase in solar flares from the Sun that could cause unpredictable errors in navigation. Experts said the bursts of radiation caused by the flares interfere with signals from satellites orbiting the earth, causing receivers to fail and lose track of their position. Now British scientists say the Sun is on its way to another “solar maximum”, which will cause the stronger levels of radiation to hit the earth. It is feared this will cause satnav receivers to be blinded for minutes at a time and could result in drivers becoming lost or involved in accidents. It could also cause problems to emergency services, high-precision surveying, shipping and even military operations, they added. Prof Cathryn Mitchell, from the University of Bath, said while the sun’s affects on navigation were difficult to project, the errors could last hours or even days. “It varies quite a lot across the Earth; looking at the UK it will be about 10-metre errors in the positioning,” Prof Mitchell told the BBC. A study in 2008 found the natural light shows of the Northern Lights – or Aurora Borealis – interfere with the signals from global positioning satellites, which are used by Sat-Navs to pinpoint the locations of vehicles, boats and aircraft. __________________

![]() CME LASHES OUT (MARCH 5, 2010) This is one of the brightest and most substantial CMEs we have seen in several years. And the presence of such bright prominence material in COR1 is very rare and has only been seen twice before.

The comet that slammed into the sun yesterday was about 3 times the size of Jupiter.
Check Lasco 2 c12 It happened on the 12th.. look at around 23.30 pm (11 pm time)

Star Predicted to Blast Through the Solar System.. a bit off in the future but interesting.
In 1.5 million years time, the solar system could be in for a rough ride. An orange dwarf star named Gliese 710 is powering in our direction and an astronomer has calculated an 86 percent chance of the interstellar interloper smashing through the Oort Cloud, located in the outermost reaches of our solar system. This could have the devastating effect of scattering the icy Oort Cloud objects (or OCOs), causing them to plunge toward the sun and the inner planets, potentially bombarding Earth with comets. Vadim Bobylev of the Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in St Petersburg has published revised calculations of local star positions and velocities to arrive at this prediction. In 1997, the European Space Agency's Hipparcos spacecraft analyzed data from 100,000 stars, compiling what is known as the Hipparcos Catalogue. 156 of these local stars are of particular interest to astronomers as the sun was thought to be a lot closer to them in the past and there is a high possibility they will make a close approach again. In a paper submitted to the arXiv preprint service, Bobylev has combined the catalogue data with new star databases and discovered nine new stars that will buzz past the sun in the future or have done so in the past. But one star has raised a red flag. Gliese 710 is out there and it wants to "play chicken" with our sun. Unfortunately, neither star will be able to steer out of the way at last minute. Judging by its trajectory, there's an 86 percent chance the star will punch through the Oort Cloud (thought to be located about 50,000 AU -- or nearly a light-year -- from the sun). This may sound like a flesh wound, a near miss in cosmological distances, but any gravitational interaction with the huge chunks of cometary nuclei in the outermost extent of the solar system is bad news. It is hypothesized that close encounters of the stellar kind have kicked OCOs out of the Oort Cloud in the past, creating some of the long period comets we see today, such as comet Hale Bopp. It is also thought that such encounters could periodically cause mass extinction events on Earth through comet impacts. Although the star -- currently located 63 light years from Earth and approximately half the mass of our sun -- has been known to be heading for us for some time, this is the first time such a high probability for a close encounter has been calculated. But could Gliese 710 penetrate even deeper into the solar system? Possibly, although those odds are more cheery. The chances of the star reaching as deep as the Kuiper Belt (near the orbit of Pluto) is around 1 in 1000. This might not be an imminent threat, and it's debatable whether any human descendants will be watching the cosmic flyby, it's nice to know when the next risk of comet bombardment may occur. Although I doubt we'd be able to do much about it anyway.

I’m sure there is some vital information in these Solar flares that is to be absorbed thru the skin. In ancient scriptures and hieroglyphics there’s just too much attention on the Sun. What ever is happening with the Sun I’m not worried at all. I welcome every sunny day and solar flair into my body. To worry is to have guilt or know you are not worthy of greatness. I never used sun screen and I never will. This is my Sun and my planet…it loves me, so there is no need to protect my self from it, and I never will.
Peace |

Hi Carol...
How about geothermal energy? Is that an option for you? I don't know much about it, but I want to start looking into it. After all , systems that rely on electricity (batteries) are not really sustainable, are they? I found this statement : In the United States, most geothermal reservoirs of hot water are located in the western states, Alaska, and Hawaii. So you should be ok for hot water ! K |

We now have solar hot water and with it being cool and rainy I've had more cool showers then hot. We have to turn on the electric to get the water hot. Thermal.. as in volcano?

Yesterday we all woke up after a good night's sleep and were complaining how tired we all felt. This included our 13 year old as well. All of us were just dragging. So I thought... hmmm, solar flare as this is how I tend to feel when a flare happens.
Take a look at the report from yesterday. LARGEST FLARE IN TWO YEARS (JANUARY 22, 2010) ![]() STEREO (Behind) was in position to observe an M-class (moderate) solar flare (Jan. 17, 2010), the largest one detected for more than two years. It was accompanied by a coronal mass ejection (CME), seen as the large cloud of particles surrounding the bright flash as well as a wave of material spreading part way across the Sun. Solar activity level has been slumbering rather quietly, but this substantial active region has shown plenty of signs of life. Besides that flare, several other, smaller flares can be seen in the video (about 30 hours). The brightness of the flares causes the light to spread along pixel rows of the detector, its tell tale signature. Is this the beginning of the sun's increased activity? All I can add is that the body knows.

Given what may be happening outside it could take a mighty air filtration system for air intake. I was hoping to have enough space in mine to have plants. I am really envisioning some sort of underground biosphere I guess. But if you only have to be down there for a short time a pipe with some sort of cap on both ends would work. Perhaps some venting slits on the outdoor part of the pipe. I am considering using caliche bricks, or just pounded into forms for walls. There is another type of mud/wattle construction I have looked into also but the correct name escapes me right now. I think the idea of cinder blocks is a good one, just use the moisture shielding to encase it. I have no specific plan. But you are sparking a lot of cognitive activity. lol I have a friend I discuss this with sometimes and she said why couldn't we have individual residences connected by tunnels? Great idea, but quite an undertaking. And yes, I would like to use some sort of mesh shielding to cover it. My question to those in the know right now is-If I make a closet into a faraday cage can I use the ground in the electrical outlet to ground it? Off to deal with daily life for awhile. |

I think the cme's are waves from the sun coming for us, to reprogram our dna. I'll be out dancing in them, can't wait for the big one from Hunab Ku and the three days of darkness.
