I have the same concern.

We need people working on preventing this from progressing farther than it already has.

I don't mean to be introducing a debate centered around left-right politics.

If I had my druthers, we would not have political parties anymore. We would just have candidates who would run for office in exclusively tax-payer funded elections (private contributions would be illegal) where TV time is free to the candidate.

In my opinion, what I'm describing here is the only way to clean up our rotten to the core system.

It's all about money.
