There is a problem with the library that is not being speedily resolved - When the support team consists of volunteers with jobs, families, etc, all you can do is go with their flow and keep asking to spur them on ...

Well I'm spuring...there is lots of valuable information in that library..and I was in the middle of a book when it went down.

Maybe we could build another library....and when you can access the books and information..just transfer it?

I'm just a simpleton when it comes to that kind of thing..but it seem like a start

I'm with Brook here. Perhaps we could ask for volunteers to either fix or recreate the library. I'm sure many of us would volunteer. We just need to know what the problem is and perhaps we could fix it.

There is something about the structure - the framework that holds the library -
and getting it back into it since we changed servers - I think.

I downloaded the whole thing and other people did also.
So it is not lost.
If there is something specific anyone wants a copy of maybe I can email it to you ...
karen@projectavalon.net

I think the solution lies in some high level tech stuff - Gareth is the one to contact to see what you can do to help. I don't know how much he reads the forum postings ... I put a note in mod chat that people are asking ...

And Marian Librarian is anxious to get things going again.

I still laugh when I remember Anchor's statement on a different topic ... Making progress on some of these things is like "trying to push water uphill with a rake." We are all just volunteers with busy lives, families, jobs, etc.

Thanks for the info, Karen. I will pm Gareth and see if there is anything I can do to help.
