Default No Curling?

No more Curling on TV

True culture has died!

No, no plans to give my TV to charity, but...
Maybe there could be an "All Curling" cable station?

Perhaps a special lane on the freeway for those who must get home early to watch Curling...

I mean... yes, there IS life, after Curling but........

Why ?!?

Inconsolably, I remain,

Fred

We've seen so much curling here in the US, the last 2 weeks...

The TV network that carried it was NBC .

One of the announcers, yesterday chimed in with:

"...here on NBC, which you know stands for:
  • Nothing
  • But
  • Curling

Fred you wouldn't have been watching if you didn't think our woman's skip here in Canada wasn't hot.

Micter;

Sitting on the same couch as my dear wife, watching Cheryl Brenan was
hands down THE HARDEST thing I have done in at least a year!

"I love my wife but... Oh you kid!!"

We are now between a "Rock" and a hard place.

But I would not mind curling with Cheryl Bernard myself.

Like the event, I am done with the puns.

I hesitate to mention this, Fred. I curled for several years, enjoyed it very much but never watch it on TV not even the Olympics. Sometimes I wonder why!

Ok, I give up.... why?

he heh

Wife and I had never watched more than a 10-20 second highlight cut from a Curling match, before the Olympics.

The last 2 weeks we have been scouring the channel listings to watch as much of it as we could. Amazing how the advantage can swing back and forth so wildly during one end's play. Almost any rock can turn the whole thing around.

By the by....

You have to rent the greatest Curling movie ever!

Enjoy,
Fred

Fred C.Ok, I give up.... why?
Well, I did think about it and I think it has to do with the shouting, the endless sweeping and the memories of cold damp arenas. I do agree with you that the planning and strategy make curling a more interesting game than bowling, for example, which I don't care for at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Men with Brooms". (viewed it three times!) Great spoof!

Watching the closing ceremonies last night the thought crossed my mind that Paul Gross should have been included portraying either a Mountie (Due South) or a Canuck curler!
