Re: Great Mars pics
This looks too straight to be natural. It's from the Opportunity area on mars. |

Re: Great Mars pics
There are hundreds of pictures and pages to go through at The Living Moon site.
This is but one link: http://www.thelivingmoon.com/43ancie..._Color_01.html See how they change the picture colors so we don't get a real look: See how the blue and green colors have been deleted in Mars photos? http://www.goroadachi.com/etemenanki...it-sundial.gif |

looks kinda natural to me. though im almost positive there are many un-natural things on Mars. this doesnt look like one of them. there are many "perfectly straight" natural features on our own earth.. why not Mars? |

Re: Great Mars pics
Here's an object i found on a NASA rover photo
This is the larger image http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/jpeg/PIA11049.jpg The object is located about halfway left of center and looks like the rover went over to observe (or disturb) it by the tread marks nearby Looks like a snout or tube at ground level with a concave bowl shape on top, not similar to any objects in the immediate vicinity PS. you'll need to zoom in to see it and the black lines are one of my attempts at retrieving the zoomed-in version |

Re: Great Mars pics
The high res is really nice, here's my enhanced version of this object which is probably a foot or two in diameter.
Contrast increased 40% Enlarged to 400% 20% image sharpening

Re: Great Mars pics
This picture in particular really stood out for me. Is that rust underneath the radar dish? Ive been sitting here trying to figure out what else it could be, was nasa digging deep and buying metal from a scrap dealer? If it is rust then how did it get there? Last i checked there needs to be a source of water to facilitate the chemical reaction that leads to metal getting rusty. |

Re: Great Mars pics
It might be just dust accumulated from blowing winds, blowing the top soil around.

Re: Great Mars pics
An image from NASA's Mars Odyssey Orbiter spacecraft generated from digital topography taken on March 24, 2006 and released by NASA April 6. NASA/JPL/Handout/Reuters
Opportunity landed in the Eagle Crater, which measured 72 feet in diameter, 10 feet deep. It then drove over to Endurance Crater, much larger, about 425 feet (130 meters) in diameter. Opportunity’s view northeastward into “Endurance Crater,” combining frames taken with the panoramic camera between May 23 and May 29, 2004. Presented by NASA/JPL. This is an image taken on September 11, 2007 by Opportunity. It shows a view of the rim of Victoria Crater. AP/NASA NASA has a video of images of Victoria Crater taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Odyssey on March 13, 2007. We have taken a few snapshots from the video to show what Opportunity was going to tackle. This last photo we'll present shows the interior of Victoria Crater. We commend the video, this one and the many others shown by NASA, to your attention. Mars as seen from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. AFP-NASA Gully channels in a crater in the southern highlands of Mars, taken by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, are shown in this image released by NASA September 20, 2007. The gullies emanating from the rocky cliffs near the crater's rim (upper L) show meandering and braided patterns typical of water-carved channels. Reuters/NASA/JPL/University of Arizona/Handout |
