I hope it's not the end!, that's how they develop better engines and drive trains, just look at Audi's diesel engine they raced at Sebring and other tracks! It's an amazing engine!

Re: Honda have quit F1
How about we get rid of NASCAR instead!
Formula 1 is the most prestigious of all racing, AND the cars are very low waste (as in, its all made of so little and all carbon fiber pretty much, so it doesnt create as much waste when "thrown out") high efficiency, technologically smart, race cars! We even get a lot of car technology into standard move via F1. Albeit expensive, formula one is indeed THE best racing. period. But, its true we SHOULD be using the money for better things I guess. Although, it WONT BE. And THAT is the sad part. I love formula one and theres so many things Id rather see leave before F1. |

Re: Honda have quit F1
I don't think it will hurt F1. It was a bummer that Honda struggled to get the car up to speed. It just goes to show how Ferrari and Mclaren/Mercedes, do have their act together. I think the competition has been great for the last couple seasons. Nascar could go away, but billboards on wheels make $$$.

Explosion engines (gaz + spark plugs) have an efficiency rate of 35 %. That means 65% of the energy output is total waste... salute. Last edited by BeaTnik-BandiT; 12-07-2008 at 05:32 AM. |
