Post Electromagnetic Radiation in the Home

Hello Everyone,

The purpose of this link is to discuss and share knowledge about Electromagnetic radiation (commonly called EMFs) found in the home, and solutions to reduce our exposure.

This topic can get very complicated, heavily technical, and sometimes a bit “woo-woo”, so let’s try and find a happy balance that’s solutions-oriented. My approach to this subject is as a Natural Health Specialist and a Building Biologist. If there are any electrical engineers or others with professional experience in this area that can jump in and contribute, you are most welcome.

I’ll post an “overview” on EMFs in the home as soon as I have more time, but I did want to reply to Carmen for now.

Carmen, in response to your posting on Questions for Athena asking about protecting your home from nuclear radiation by using copper sheeting or copper-based paint, I’m afraid this is beyond my experience at this time. If anyone else has knowledge or experience with this, please post here.

What I can suggest is for you to do a Google search on “copper sheeting” or “copper-based paint.” There are a couple of sites that come up, one being http://www.applegate.co.uk/company/11/78/394.htm. I can’t endorse this company, as I’ve never worked with them or their products, but you could contact them and see what you can find out and maybe let us all know.

Obviously, depending on ones “proximity” to a nuclear event and the “type” of event, there may be nothing one can do to protect ones home.

However, depending on where YOU are should a nuclear event occur, the best solution may be to approach this from a personal health standpoint. Based on past research I’ve done regarding possible solutions for nuclear radiation exposure, I can offer a couple of ideas.

Consider having a pure source of calcium bentonite clay on hand to use on your skin and to ingest, along with having a source of potassium iodide. Rather than make a long post here, let me provide a link to go to for those who would like to read more about this. There’s a 28 page downloadable pdf entitled Surviving a Dirty Bomb Attack that contains some interesting information. If you follow this link, you can download it for FREE. Go to: http://www.aboutclay.com/clay_info.htm. See Clay Articles. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and find Surviving a Dirty Bomb Attack in pdf.

Hope this is helpful.
Very best wishes,
Athena

For Jaqui.

Gamma radiation protection.

100 cms of packed earth / soil.

80 cms of concrete

2 cms of lead

Neutron radiation - the most hazardous and energetic radiation needs a water based material i.e. concrete (contains large amounts of bound in water) or water itself, not materials such as lead etc because it will just roll through it, causing the material to fall apart as its atomic structure is destroyed. problem with shielding for neutron radiation is that when its being slowed, the reactions within the materials can produce gamma radiation and thus you have to shield for both.

100/100/20 for hard shelters.

Thats the bad news.

The good news is that you are not going to be subjected to either if a dirty bomb goes off. You will have to deal with fall out if you are near to the detonation, but these weapons do not produce the high activity that a nuclear weapon produces - they rely on the scattering of materials into the air.

Making a house safe is as simple as sheeting the windows with plastic, as well as any vents and chimneys, and having enough food and water stored for two weeks whilst the weather and wind does its business. Do not go outside until the all clear is given by your local health teams, and above all else think of this - Dirty weapons from terrorism will target places where huge political points can be scored.

City of London, Oxford street, Houses of Parliment, and a few other targets. If you live near them, worry about it a little, if not, well, it would be number 100 on my time line worries.

You however would be better off shielding your home from EM radiation from phone / mobile / microwave transmitters and their frequencies. Thats no 2 on my time line worry.

Carmen, I actually have a little experience in three fields that might help, but I don't have to many specifics.
1. I've been a commercial painter for the last 16 years and there is a lot of "special" paint
but none that is for nuclear radiation! You'll have to ask the Black Ops for that, good
luck!, LOL
2. I've worked on x-ray equipment for 6 years and there's all kinds of lead lined drywall,
and lead lined doors and glass. You will find that in any x-ray room that exists! It's a
requirement by law. The problem with that is it's only good for non-direct x-ray
radiation. It only protects from what's called x-ray scatter really, not direct radiation.
If you were to do anything like that in your home, think of only doing a closet maybe
just to keep the cost down. You will have to look into how thick lead would have to
be to stop any serious radiation.
3. I've also worked as a technician at Motorola and had to sit inside of what's called a
Faraday cage. A Faraday cage keeps out all radio waves of a certain frequency
depending on the size of the screen. My booth that I worked in was just a big
screened in room with a heavy door to block all radio transmissions from leaving or
from coming in.

So I don't have any specifics but you can look up info on lead lined drywall and doors, and you can look up Faraday Cages and find out different screen sizes for different frequencies and go crazy from there!, LOL, I guess you could put layer upon layer of lead around a closet, then layer upon layer of brass or copper screens or sheets, and maybe then have enough to protect certain electronics from EMF's. But as far as nuclear radiation, I don't know if there's anything to really protect you, and would depend on how far away from the blast you were!
That probably doesn't help much, but I at least wanted to throw in what few tidbits of info I had.

See this web page

Bip Pro Health.

They make a bio pro cell and machine chip.

I have one and is Amazing the difference!

Cheers!

Agreed. I have these in my home as well attached to our cell phones for a few months now. Finally, a technology created to protect us from harmful technology/
