Warning: If You Use Citibank
Apparently, Citi is taking preemptive steps to prevent a bank run. If you have a checking account, you may not be allowed to withdraw your money for up to 7 days:
http://market-ticker.org/archives/19...ank-Folks.html I wonder if this may start a new trend. --sjkted |

Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
This is a very important thing to watch, as it could be the tide turning for all banks. If this becomes uniform with other banks, there will never be a bank run because they can just give you access to some limit of your balance or delay the withdrawal for another several days...

Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
Swanny,
I'd almost bet the Fed Res wound up buying them. Forget the fact that it is completely illegal for them to do so, or the fact they've been doing it for almost a year. Just keep thinking "Green Shoots Happy Thoughts" and things will turn out... well, like cr@p. Citi, J P Morgan, and all of the big banks are completely insolvent. They only persist (exist is too strong a word) because they get to keep robbing billions, and trillions from our grand children.

Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
here is a more detailed article...
http://www.infowars.com/update-citig...k-withdrawals/ but, what if??? they are putting out this propaganda to create a false flag event, stir up fear and make everyone pull their money out of the banks, thereby designing a collapse of the banks... I am getting a feeling that we should stay calm and act normal, however my concern is the sheeples... how do we get the word out not to self-generate a panic-run on the banks? Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
This sell off was back in December and from a trading company in China they say it was sold across to private investors in Shanghai, according to them it is to hide the actual amount they control.
From what the article was saying they are buying them up faster than ever... so now the question is who spun the media two months after it was done, someone that didn't want them dumping because it would drop the value, or someone that wanted to buy up all they could for as cheap as possible? Let's see who was the group Fulford was talking about? |

The Greeks have pulled 8 billion Euros from banks as the banks increase their financial control measures: http://www.zerohedge.com/article/gre...ops+to+zero%29 Also in the 1990's, Argentina had a few bouts of hyperinflation. When this happened, the banks made limits on how much money people could withdraw at any one time. Many people went totally bust and some lost as much as 50% - 75% because their money was tied up in the bank while it was being devalued. If you check Adrian Salduchi's Youtube videos, you can get some good details on this. My point is that we are in a chess game right now that is about to end. Our side (the Western countries including the US and Europe) have a remaining King and a few pawns. As the game progresses, the West can only play defense which is a well defined progression as evidenced by what has already happened in economic history. --sjkted |

Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
We can look on history as a general guide, but I'm of the opinion that a lot has changed since then. People in general are more aware, cosmic energy is spreading the need of proper info, it's only a keyboard away
Majority are in debt and this crisis is more personal to most, they wanted to be rich and wealthy, tv said they could and would be, it's not the case anymore. After falling rocks, change of attitude comes. The purpose is different, although ego is hurting. The passion of the meditereinian people is what can save us all and give perfect example how to act or not. With their high tempers and philosifical aproach to life (long siestas help contemplating ) as far as Salbuchi he's too much of a fear mongerer to me, he does not give solutions, just scares people with nwo. You didn't write whose on the other side of the board, for me it's us the people of the world agaist oppressing forces, not east and west, this has nothing to do with it. gibonos |

Re: Warning: If You Use Citibank
If you look at Citigroup's balance sheet then you can see the carnage. The bank is insolvent with its bogus on-balance sheet reporting. When you take its $24T derivative exposure and place that on the books the bank would implode just to fund 1 percent of that exposure.
Goldman, JPMorgan, BofA are all leveraged over 40-1 in the credit default swap market still. Most of that exposure is in interest rate swaps with a total of about $140T. The banks get cheap money from the Fed and then bet against the US in the currency market with huge leverage. This explains why the dollar is trading within a tight range as well as gold prices. Bernanke and Geithner have to prop up currencies in order to keep these banks open. http://mgray12.wordpress.com/ |

He said he would stop the motor of the world... and did!
"Who is John Galt?" is the catch phrase of my favorite novel of all time. That's where the blogger got his pseudonym gibonos. I read only the page you posted, not the whole series. |
