Re: Venezuela
Chamo,
I always loved Venezuela, I'm from Colombia, and I've been looking to relocate there for a while!!! What can I do?? Let me know about the community in process!!! Thanks!!! I would also say Veneuzela *might be* a safer place for any south american citizen rather than for Americans, if the latters are afraid of Hugo Chavez's policies. Yet, Venezuela has an excellent whether, and going inland (if you're afraid of what might happen to the coasts near the Atlantic ocean) you will find places where you can make communities?? Waiting for replies, Thanks Last edited by Mario; 09-20-2008 at 10:33 PM. |

Re: Venezuela
I live in Venezuela, on Isla de Margarita, which is in the Caribbean just off the NE coast of the country. Born and raised in the USA, I've spent time in Mexico and Canada. I moved here almost 2 years ago; I decided the US was not a good or safe place to be, for me anyway. My experience and background are in "alternative" agriculture and building, with an emphasis on local and sustainable.
I looked at the whole world and chose Venz because of the climate, varied terrain, and vast untapped resources. I looked seriously at Russia, which also has vast resources, but the climate and language in S America was easier for me. Then I looked at S Am in general, at first being drawn to Argentina, but it turned out to be run by the same crew of needy psychopaths running the US, Europe and all of the British Commonwealth. Venezuela won out on untapped resources plus the fact that it was a center of change; whatever opinion one has about Hugo and his Bolivarian Socialism it is a change. I have no regrets about moving here; I like the climate and get along with the people. It is in no way or form an enlightened society; purely materialistic and superstitious, consumer oriented. Around 90% of everything consumed is imported, something that is easy enough to do right now with lots of oil and drug money flowing through. It will be a real challenge when that dries up, but I still think the climate and resources are of great advantage. Though the so-called populist government is thoroughly corrupt, they are mostly only interested in lining their own pockets and continuing to do so, as opposed to the USA where the government is an active enemy of the people. For the most part, Venezolanos can't be bothered to put out that kind of effort. I have read about the US ambassador being told to leave, and a couple of days ago about two Human Rights Watch leaders being deported. I've discussed it briefly with some locals, but I haven't encountered any hostility personally. They laugh about Chavez for the most part, and for most their dream would still be a condo in Miami. Hugo will bluster and shoot off his mouth whenever he thinks he can get some press from it, but he's still dependent on the USA to buy his oil and for a major portion of the country's imports. Don't look for the present government to last much longer. Considering the times we are in, it may be replaced with something slightly better or worse, or simply degenerate into chaos along with the rest of the world. The latter is coming soon enough, I think. Again, I like the country and get along well. If the N hemisphere gets too much radiation in the wind, the equator is only a few hundred miles south. Much of the continent's resources are untouched. |

Re: Venezuela
Sr. Presidente.. (can someone get it down there?) ...
For those of you that don't see it coming! Humanity its at the verge of convergence. The cycles of life and earth repeat themselves into the self-synchronizing moment. The vibrating pulse of energy - people, earth and universe making the leap into the time of times. The truth of it all has been hidden in front of our eyes (big screen) through centuries of planned, meditated blindness (small screen). Distortion and re-interpretation of ancestral teachings. The era of information without information - The one man chess game of moving the board to make moves on both sides (blacks and whites) - Controlling the positive and the negative - the good and the bad - the games of games where the unveiled truth (objective) awaits outside the game itself. The power over dormant minds trapped in time and space – distant from the conscious that experience and creates life as we live it. Wake-up ! The dream is over and life is just starting. The birth of life as it was meant to be it's the process – the painful process into light begun. The existence of others will come soon to play - Shaking the ground of our most profound believes. The understanding that what it appears to be resistance and contradiction is exactly what it is needed to make the game continue. Opposites attract. Examples are plenty and recent – execution and death of the innocent is the consequence of the blinded interpretation of the rules. The opportunity of changing it all is unique in time. Sr. Presidente – the fight it is not fighting , resistance the ultimate price of your own people. The cause is no longer yours – it became the cause of Humanity – A new dimension, a new paradigm needs to be. Dreaming a new world of self sustained people, families, clusters and communities. The need for centralized structures and boundaries no more. You have the building stone – the quick dying "Black Gold" - The sand clock has been turned around and the "dream" is overwhelming . We are running out of time. Wake up! The world is your new judge – not just your own people. Is the none-selfish collective that will prevail and win NOT the egocentric individual in search for power. – The illusion of time is ticking! .................................................. .................................................. .... Ps: Venezuela is too close to the Ecuator (no good in case war with Iran starts in few weeks - if we look at the potential/projected move of the plates - Nothing near the coast lines nor volcanic areas - Love Venezuela but seems like northen Argentina -Southern Brazil or parts of Paraguy-Uruguy are safe areas to ride the next 10 years... http://www.myspace.com/aquarious12 |

Re: Venezuela
Hello there!
Nice to see people from Venezuela in this forum :-) I'm Venezuelan, from Caracas, but living in Iceland. Regarding safe areas in Venezuela, it seems that "Los Llanos" (the plane lands) could easily be flooded as well as the coast lines. There are some maps around that show the potential flooding risk. They were talking about that in another thread: http://projectavalon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2601 where you can actually see the maps. In my opinion, a safe area it is just where one feels good, in that place where something inside you says: "it is right here". In my case I just follow my heart and my intuition and I also "ask" God and my higher self to be with my family in the "right place at the right time" when things happen... And remember, the best safe area is Love! ;-) |

Venezuela
Gracias Ing. Ph.d Luis Perez |

Thanks for the reply. I do feel safe on Isla de Margarita though.
The highest point in Florida is 30m, on Margarita 1000m. |
