Guess this will be rubbish
I expect this is boring for you all but I need to let it out before I can't.
Most of the interviews were done before this forum was open " how was that afforded"? This forum was opened and it had a vibe, quite unique indeed. Anyone in business knows how to make money from greased hinges. From what I can tell this was a planned event. If it wasnt it was badley set up from the beginning. I feel bad that so many got involved and added so much only to be gelded!! Supose they should line thier pockets Kindest Regards all Bobcat |

And I heard that if they have funds in excess of basic expenses they will hire some paid help. They say they are not keeping any secrets and have been and will continue to aspire to 100% transparency. Ya, if you think its nice to shack up with friends there and not even have your own space to do business in - I guess that's nice - certainly better than living in your old beater car. |

We are talking $12 a year minimum. I doubt the whole deal will even cover their basic monthly expenses. There will be gift subscriptions, barter options, and anyone who wants to post should be able to. Anyone who wants to stay can PM me to see what we can work out. Karen |

I believe that people who would do such things themselves think that everybody else would. I doubt they are getting richer on the subscription money. Why don't you do what they've been doing so far and find people who will pay you for that. |

its just business. nothing more nothing less. In one way i'm happy its taken off for them. It's hard to make a £/$ in todays world.
But it's a sneaky way to do it. |

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
why would so many begrudge anyone for doing well. they put something together that took off and it helped a lot of people. they are entitled to eat and make a living. god bless their good fortune. i wish everyone good fortune as well.

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
I think you miss my point.
It's the manor that they did it in. When this forum opened it was a " Be free, think free, look after each other, Ground crew, peace'n love " The forum took off and people gave thier hearts. Smell the money eh Sorry for the people that gave so much just to be charged. Forums are so very addictive and on a touchy topic like this it should have been researched harder if it was genuine. |

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
You're right. this will be rubbish.
Bill and Kerry said from the very start that this would be subscription based. They said it would switch after about a month. You imply deceit. Well either the deceit is yours, or you didn't pay very close attention. May I assume your "rubbish" ends with subscription? Thanks in advance. Quote:

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
Sorry, all this wingeing and whining about a $1 - $5 a month subscription to pay expenses is way over the top.
I read in several posts that it should be free. Perhaps. As long as the hosting and forum software can be free. Or filled with ads like ATS or GLP. PC also has hosting and bandwidth costs. When bandwidth goes up, so does cost. Flying places costs money but perhaps if they told the airlines, car rental companies, hotels and restaurants what they did, they can get all that for free too. That would help contribute the the forum being free. If not, perhaps they can get a job somewhere in this down market to pay for their rent and other living expenses and forget Project Camelot and the interviews. Yes, I'm being a bit sarcastic. I'm just amazed that there is so much pouting over such a low cost for getting so much. It's still FREE to read and there are 50 free memberships. I would think people would be happy to help with expenses - esp when they are so low. Doing what they do costs money and takes a great deal of time. The money has to come from somewhere as they don't have paying jobs nor does it grow in their gardens. If they had paying jobs, they could not run around doing intereviews. Please, give this attitude a little bit of thought. |

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
What a cr*p thread.
I am glad the forum has gone subscription. The signal to noise ratio has increased dramatically. I vote to close this one so it never gets bumped. (Which I just did!) A.. |

Re: Guess this will be rubbish
Gurdjieff talked about the minimum level of consciousness and ability that it takes to begin the Great Work. He referred to that minimum as the "householder"; one who is competent, responsible, and intelligent enough to keep a home and family. Depending on the society, that may or may not entail money. In all societies, that householder would need to obtain and maintain a home, and provide food, clothing, and protection for themself and anyone else in the household.
Every single one of the whiners I've read here who think everything having to do with higher consciousness needs to be free flunks at least the intelligence minimum above. |
