The best band in the universe, not necesserily my favourite, listen to them too much and it does kind of depress you.

nonetheless, did more drugs than any other band in the world, wrote better songs than anyone..... see the connection?

i was blessed, i had a real cool next door neighbour
who bought me a stereo record player for my 3rd xmas,
i was 2 days short of my 4th birthday ...
so, this was xmas of 1962
and, i played "snoppy vs. the red baron"
at 33/45/and, 98 rpm's LOL

i remember it sounded a lot like The Chipmunks

the first album i purchased was
Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band by The Beatles
i think, i spent all the money i had in the world,
to buy it, and, then, i didn't like it all that much

i did like Allan Parsons - To the one in Paradise

and, Tales of Mysteries and Imagination - i loved that

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

Beck/Bogart/Apiece - remember them ???

The Doors--driving music !!!

ahhh....we truly do set our lives to music

once, i sat and listened
to a set from the
60's 70's 80's and, 90's
and, tired to remember,
what i was doing the first time,
i heard each song --
that was quite interesting,
as, it really jogged my memory

brightest blessings to all
susan

As a kid, the first music album i bought was: 'Meddle'.

Want a proof they were on drugs?
Listen to: 'Echoes' on the same album. (great one by the way)

salute.

I toured Europe and Africa for a year plugged into Pink Floyd. I even know that if you play the Wizard of Oz and The Wall (I'm not sure now if that's the right one) they sync with each other.

Lot of old stuff...
How about some "new" stuff that may be of interest to old pinkers?

I was in that film as an extra, couple of great days seeing how a film is made.
The opening scene where all the kids run along a tunnel, Im in a hot dog stand as they run past, my brother was in the crowd running. it was filmed from the back of a VW beetle in the old wembley stadium in london. The scene where you see the outside of a stadium concert - loads of people, chaos and a guy gets chased by the police - I'm in a hot dog stand It was filmed outside wembley stadium, the police are though dressed as american cops. I dont even like hotdogs

We dont need no edukashun

peace

"Wish You Were Here"

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
