Opinions on this rebuttal of the Ringmakers of Saturn book.
I found this page the other night while reading up on the Ringmakers of Saturn.
(I have edited this post to add this link that has large versions of the photos from the original link.) New Link: Large pictures. http://www.anomalog.com/saturnrings.html Original link: Small pictures. http://www.unexplainable.net/artman/...cle_2842.shtml Does anyone have an opinion they wish to share regarding the info on the linked page. The writer is suggesting that the plates used in the book do not actually exist and are composites of four shots taken by either voyager 1 or 2. I was planning on buying the book but this article dampened my enthusiasm for it. I would be interested in others take on this article. |

Checking the link out now- I thought Dean said the book was out of print- I looked it up and it was not available when I looked it up. If it's a hoax- I'd like to know.

Re: Opinions on this rebuttal of the Ringmakers of Saturn book.
The book is still available from Mr Bergrun's site as far as I can tell.
http://www.ringmakersofsaturn.com/ There is also a DVD of him doing a 2 hour presentation at a conference, I came across the other night. It is available for sale from a website that slips my mind at this time. I will look for that link and get back to you with it. The rebuttal article is not accusing him of hoaxing as such, but it put's up some interesting suggestions as to why he may have been supplied with doctored images. |
