Default The opposite of Love is...

....Apathy

IMHO

Hate cannot be the opposite of Love...hate is born from passion.

I can hate a person who has hurt me..but i will be eapathetic to someone i dont car about.

what do you think?

Love has no opposite.
Love is either present or absent.
Peace is always present when war is removed.
War is consequence of falsehood.
Love is truth.

Actually , the opposite of love is fear

All emotions boil down to either of those two .

Love is all there is.

Therefore to resolve the problem:

Hate is a distortion of love.

Fear is a distortion of love.

The opposite of Love is nothing. (In otherwords, emptiness).

Depends on the definition of love.
If you are talking about romantic love then that can turn to less than love very rapidly.

If you are talking non dualistic then there are no opposites. only alternatives.

If you define Love as God then there is no opposite to God as creator.

If love is present then fear cant exist, its an opposite as far as emotion goes.
Fear and Love are the two driving, opposite forces in duality, or maybe it should be desire and fear. I do'nt know
Just depends on the context used.

In my own life experience ive noticed that those who have a lack of love normally have an abundance of fear, or fear enduced emotions such as anger, hatred, jelousy etc.

Fear seems to be the one that most others stem from, as anger is the most common way to handle fear in todays society.

As graybeard said, there is no true opposite to love, as it is our true nature, but there is the illusions of fear, anger, jelousy etc, as without them then we would have nothing to compare our true essence too, which as you might imagine to an eternal spiritual being may become a tad boring.

Theres nothing like wearing a pair of really tight shoes just for the relief of taking them off.

Why the question?

Jack says. Why the question?
I wonder too.

This might seem inappropriate.

I would love for the promotion of AV2 to stop.

Rule no 1 when you are in a hole stop digging.

If people wish to keep communicating via Avalon then there is no choice but to move to
AV2 as this one will be read only sooner or later.

So its a win win situation for AV2

I really dont mind and will have a look and see how it grows.

All Im saying is that the P.A. work was a disaster and it would be best for those, who for the best reason wish PAv2 to work, just leave well alone and see what happens.

What does this have to do with PA2 now?

Celine you are seen rightly or wrongly as a link between old and new.
In that context, The question "why the question makes sense". I did not originally ask.
Also your response to the statement from an earlier post This is really deep.

"Only as deep as you let it go..

If its not for you..juts move on...would not want to offend anyones sensitivities."

Seemed a bit over reactive.

This is really deep seems a fair comment.

Tempers are frayed, not mine but I observe.

So rightly or wrongly my feeling is best to just post in new AV and just let people come.
They have no where else to go that compares with old AV.

There is not really that much that can be said on this subject as it is noncontroversial.

With best wishes

Hmm I am not sure i agree with your assessment but i do see your point.

i reacted to burgundia, due to emotional baggage...

Love is an important subject to me, and i felt perhaps i was about to be made fun of...again.

Forgive me if my reactions have caused offense..

i am here to learn..thank you greybeard

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

I feel the opposite of love is fear (the void) as well.. although Love is not just an emotion in my eyes... it is all that is.. fear is only an emotion and all it will ever be..

soo I guess, I'm saying I feel the opposite of love would be nothingness and nothingness holds fear within it... I think it makes sense..LOL

Opposite to love is space dust

so those whom wish to stay in victim consciousness and play the blame game point fingers at everyone else instead of taking responsability may have to begin the long journey all over again, with the Reptilians/Draconians/Illuminati and annunaki all one happy space dust family

Blessings

LOVE is our nature - what we truly are
how can you oppose that - unless you live in illusion (the opposite?)

Love is what it takes to maintain all that exist into existance!

When you love, you bless, when you bless, you use creative energy to fortify what you bless. That is why Life is abundant, Love is everywhere.

Now, its opposite? Hum... It depends of your perspective, can be nothing, can be hate, can be apathy, can be... Does it really matters?

Anyway, all ways are welcome to trigger a sharing.

Namaste, Steven
